  1. Does this happen to be along Sweet Creek near Mapleton, OR? I saw the nearby pictures are by Heceta Head, and was wondering if you stopped at Sweet Creek on your way out there. It's one of my favorite places (Sweet Creek).

Really beautiful shot, I love it. My only critique would be to maybe have a little more balance between the yellow of the aspens and the yellow of the ferns, so move your frame up a little.
  2. Thanks for the comment. I was wishing I had a gradient filter. I did take a series of different exposures, so if I were better with photoshop or had the time, I could try and combine them to get some foreground detail too, because I agree with your comments. Thanks again :)

A pretty shot, but the water is a bit overexposed. I personally tend to under-expose most long-exposure water shots by almost a full stop sometimes, because the auto-exposure never quite gets it right.

Really beautiful shot, however, looks like the color saturation is boosted maybe a bit too much. Some of the colors look unnatural, but maybe just to my eyes. Nice first post!

What an amazing photo, great job, and so creative. My one comment, it might look better with everything in a little better focus, not just the narrow DOF. There's so much incredible material there, don't blur any of it if you don't have to.

Beautiful shot, though I wonder if a little better illumination would bring out all that detail in the bird's crest. A very dramatic shot as is though. Well done!

Thank you Andre, in this shot it actually wasn't too bad, a lot of the area was forested, so lots of sunlight in background with shadows in foreground. Thanks for the comment!

Another shot from the Oregon Country Fair, spent most of the day

people watching and coping with lots of horrible contrast photowise.

I'd really appreciate any advice, thanks!
