John Sitler, that's a wonderful shot. Congratulations!

I've been playing in my (make-shift) studio to make this "self-portrait". This time I used the D50 with the 55-200 that's glued to it, an SB-600 and an SB-80DX. Models were the D90 and Tamron 17-50 f/2.8. Have a good WedNesDay all!
<a title=""Self Portrait" por Girona_Flashman, en Flickr" href=" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7186/6830657292_e3cb4777a9_z.jpg" alt=""Self Portrait"" width="426" height="640" />

I have had the "file ended unexpectedly" message several times in LR. In my case, it has always been a faulty copy to my harddrive (I copy while importing in LR). For me, deleting the file, and reimporting from the original memory card always did the job. I have never lost a single picture because of this error, but in my case it was clearly a fault on the computer side.

This is also the reason I keep the pictures on the card for a while, and use another card in the camera until well after processing the files and another backup of the drive is made.

Wonderful work again! Here's mine, from the monthly photographic escapade of our local club, at sunset and 1250 meters altitude.

D90 with Tamron 17-50 f/2.8.

Did you adjust the battery type in your camera's menu (custom function d12)? It might give a wrong reading.

I'm a bit in a hurry so I'll check the thread later to check your work.

Mine is no more than a frame out of a test I did with tethered and timelapse shooting. It was actually nice to see an onion change into a plate of pasta :-) Didn't bother to decorate it though (too hungry).

D90 with Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 tethered to laptop.

Kent Shafer, I think the message is clear, you'd better start saving.
John P, I love that shot!
Elliot Bernstein: wonderful!
Cesar Kastoun: Hoegaarden used to be my favourite beer when I lived in Belgium. Now I stumble upon it from time to time here in Spain and I have one whenever I can.
Roberta Davidson: beautiful bird!

Mine is from the bicycle renting service in Girona, Spain. D90 and Tamron 17-50 f/2.8.

Kent Shafer and Robert Davies: you made me VERY hungry :-)
Doug Santo: I love those colours! Sweet!

Last saturday, our local photo friends took us to a nearby lake in Banyoles (Spain) for our monthly gathering. It was heavy overcast, and we had to stop shooting just after dark as it started to rain.

This picture was with the D90 and Tamron 17-50, and I fired an SB600 off camera, handheld, at maximum zoom and full power to reach the birds, while still lighting up the foreground a bit.

This thread is getting better and better each week, and it's getting hard to pick a favourite...

Mine is a "hide the sun behind the lamp cheesy stuff" :-)
