I like the simplicity of this unusual shot. The composition is perfect too. Thanks.

You did well to spot this detail of interest, and the overall balance is very good. Thanks. I look forward to seeing more of your photos.

I would have gone for a vertical shot of the group of tall grasses, with the black zone reduced to just a slither at the bottom of the shot (all to emphasize the tallness of the plants and the zonation of colours in the sky). I like the colours and silhouette effect.
-
It's brilliant. Especially the glossy scales and the blade of grass. No one could make a snake look more snake-like! Thanks.

Beautiful image, fantastic colours. IMVHO would be better if far wing tip was slightly higher but birds aren't static, and one thing that comes out so nicely here is the movement. Thanks for giving us a chance to see stuff like this.

I'll keep it simple. I like this. Even better if you did it with simple equipment. It's stunning. Thanks. (just one thing file size above recommended)

I have to admit I have a liking for things mineral, all the same this is great. Well spotted and well rendered. The browner area contributes to this interesting shot (IMHO the best of your Columbia Bridge folder). Thanks for spotting this.

I'm not trying to analyse this (I'll leave that to the pros), I just go by my gut feeling : superb! Thanks for this.

I always like it when simple everyday objects are rendered interesting. You've done that well here.
I find the composition a bit too "centered" (IMHO) and wonder if more use could have been made of the chain. But still a good shot. Thanks.

Your photography is better than your spelling ! (just for fun ...)

I think this would have been better with the camera held in the "portrait" position and the shot cropped to include the central group of palms (including tops!) and the bike, with more made of the diagonal line of the path.Hope that helps. Thanks.
-
I like the way you've used the background vegetation. And who would have thought of taking a shot like this, while your food goes cold! Thanks.
-
IMHO it's out of focus, too dark and poorly composed (hey, somebody had to say it)... But keep on trying please.

I love this. Sure kids are no more original than flowers, insects or sunsets but you've done extremely well. I particularly like the composition and the parallel slants of the faces. I feel this one deserves higher ratings than it's been getting.

Thanks for showing us this scene. I feel that there is too much to look at (tree in foreground, fence, house etc) and my instinct would be to approach the house and look at small areas like patio, roof details. Hope that helps.
-
What is fantastic here is how you've made so much from so little.Thanks.

I like the clean lines of this beautiful shot. The diagonals of the land and then the texture of the clouds, not to mention the alignement of the bales of hay, all work together in this great composition. I would never have been brave enough to put the first bale right on the edge, but it works well. Thanks for showing us this.

Wow, this is truely stunning. Thanks for a great chilling photo. The rocky texture, grass and objects have all been used in a very creative way.

Well done. This is very atmospheric. Good perspective leading in to the small tree. The colours are very harmonious and of course interesting. Personally I would have cropped out the light orange band along the bottom edge.
Thanks for showing this great shot.

I love the soft muted colours that go well with the soft texture of the plant. The compostion is good and the contrast of man-made and natural objects is interesting. You did well to spot that. It's a pity the resolution seems a bit low. Thanks.

I like the way you've made full use of the available elements : planks, railing, bushes and sand. There are interesting lines, like the diagonal edge of the path and railings contrasting with the jagged bush edge. The loose plank adds a final touch. Thanks for this great shot.

A beautiful subject under good lighting conditions, but you have to decide whether you want the tree in or not. If yes, make more of it, perhaps by a lower angle shot? Just ideas ...
-
Good composition and interesting colours, plus original subject. Well put together.

I agree with your wife - in fact for me this is the best in your portfolio - but everyone sees things in a different way and that's what makes life interesting. The colours in this shot are fascinating as well as the shapes and flakes. The only thing that bothers me is the bright spot on the right.
