Beautiful portrait! Personally, I would have preferred about a half stop more light on the face, and a little more cropping to emphasize the face, and not the dark around it, but it sings!

Angel, You have done this sort of thing before, haven't you? Excellent photo. One of the ten best I've seen this month. Exposure, action, and the pilgrim in the foreground who may have really been in the wrong place at the wrong time! OUTSTANDING!

Ain't that always the way? Loaded with black and white, and think you need color, or vice versa? Good photo, good eye! Color might not add as much as you might think; this is a powerful image as it is.
  1. SOMEBODY taught the youngster well! Sharp, and Good exposure, which many photos by older "photographers" on this forum often don't achieve. A good documentary shot of the subject. A tad more light for the interior would improve it. Now go take some more pictures!

Underexposed. It appears as if the bright background inflated the light reading, underexposing the subject. Spot metering the subject, or zooming in to max focal length or moving closer, reading the subject, locking the exposure, then recomposing would eliminate this most prevalemnt and disturbing of photo errors.

Beautiful! The dark area at the top right competes strongly with the center of interest, but it can't be totally cropped out without damaging the picture. It could be reduced somewhat, tho. Makes me COLD just looking at it! A wallhanger, for sure.

Nice portrait. The hand shows the normal enlargement displayed by items that are closer to the lens than the face, but it is minor and not disruptive, IMO. Moving the hand closer to the face would reduce the effect.
  2. The sepia tone is a great one for the subject. In agreement with a previous comment, It appears that the bright sky inflated your light reading, which underexposed the cabin. A stop to a stop and a half more exposure would reveal the wealth of detail existing in the cabin exterior, and make the photo more interesting.
