Hi, Sondra,
I, for one, really like the shot and the contrasting light/dark areas. My eye is first drawn to the darkness of the sky, and then I have to search down the frame to the building. Nicely done, IMO.

Nicely done. Composition is very good, and I like the treatment.

A neat photo, for sure.

Very well done. Lighting is excellent. Makes you stop and think.
Cheers.

Amazing. When I first saw this, I thought we must have been standing in the SAME FIELD .
Then I look at the detail and it says this is Italy. Small world.
I might try to lighten or saturate the yellow color in the flowers for a little more effect, but obviously I like the photo, since I have one that looks a lot like it. I didn't have to deal with the wires, though.
Cheers.

Nicely done, Mark. Very soft and tender. The earring (upper right) is a bit of a distraction, but a very nice photo.
Best Regards

Thanks, Pnina. Always a pleasure to have you visit.

Keith,
The reason I posted this (well, one reason) is because this is a 120 neg scanned on a flatbed, and the color is just about as it came out of the scanner. I just thought the effect was interesting.
Thanks for stopping by.

Keith,
Thanks for stopping by. I've been by this location many times, and never have I seen a decent sky, so I'm still waiting.
Cheers.

I see I got the 3/3, which is OK. I suppose the person who left the 3 for originality sees this sort of thing every day.

Not a piece of art, but just thought you might like to see what a
tornado can do to the electrical distribution system. Taken about
five minutes after the tornado had passed yesterday, March 29, 2007.
By the way, is this original enough?

Thanks for the comments, folks. It didn't seem to gather much for ratings, but it's always nice to have some comments.

Thanks for your comment. The highlights on the top of the cab were sun reflections - not much I could do without underexposing everything else. The white stuff is sand - made for kind of a tough shot. At least I didn't get run over.
Thanks again.

I guess it's a vehicle. Comments welcome, as always. Thanks.

The 3/3 ghoul is very busy, Lannie. And you left the window open for him (or her).
Nice shot. If this is the second floor, I presume some perspective correction was necessary, yes? Good job.
Cheers.

The top of the bass guitar (which is toward the bottom of the picture) has some obvious issues where it looks like the guitar image was cut and then pasted onto the white background. The left side, especially, is a series of straight lines rather than the curve of the guitar.
Neat idea, but I think it needs to be smoother so the cut edges won't be so obvious. I've taken a few of these myself and have not been satisfied with any of them yet.

Hi, Lou Ann,
I was in Colorado Springs about a year ago now, and took a lot of pictures of this area. My problem is that it's so impressive in person that I couldn't find any pics that do it justice.
The only one I was hoping would really turn out was one of a climber about half way up one of the rock faces, but the shadows were such that the final outcome wasn't good, either.
So one of these days I'm going to have to go back there and see if I can take a decent picture.

Hi, Paul,
Just came by to see what you are doing. This is very strong - great portrait. The colored material is a good touch, as well. Forehead is a little hot, but goes with the intensity of the shot. Good job.
