Another shot from the Oklahoma Centennial 2007 Chisholm Trail cattle
drive. Comments welcome, as always.

Yeah, I really hadn't thought of that, Lou Ann, but maybe I'll give it a try.

This is an original 1860's chuck wagon leading the 2007 Chisholm Trail
cattle drive from Texas through Oklahoma, to Kansas. Taken in
Kingfisher, Oklahoma 9-25-07. Comments always welcome.

While visiting El Reno, Oklahoma.
Comments welcome, as always.

Thanks for stopping by, Lou Ann. Yes, we had a great day for shooting. We were going to go shoot the centennial cattle drive today (taking cattle up the Chisholm trail to Kansas) but it's raining, so probably won't go.
Enjoy Colorado. Sounds like you're having a good time already.

I like this, Lou Ann. Just putting a person into this panorama makes all the difference. I'm sure it was much more impressive in person. Sometimes photographs just can't convey the magnitude of the situation.
Cheers

This steam locomotive has been in continuous service since 1944 by
the Union Pacific Railroad. It is presently pulling the Oklahoma
Centennial Sooner Special. This was taken in El Reno, Oklahoma.
All comments welcome. Thanks for looking.

Union Pacific Steam Locomotive #844 pulling the Oklahoma Centennial
Sooner Special, just south of the Cimarron River between Dover and
Kingfisher, Oklahoma, on 9/11/2007.
Please view the larger size. Thanks for looking.

Kinda looks like a cut and paste job. I like that fact that we can see the word "Kodak" on the edge. Gives the photo a certain "Je ne sais quoi." And that's the best part.

Yeah, I need my annual Maine fix. It's like another world away.
Thanks for stopping by - maybe see you soon.

The comment about the 3/3's was just my feeble attempt at humor, Pnina. I don't rate anymore, either - just comment.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope all is well.

I have to agee with the others. This is a great shot, nice light, and excellent framing. The subject matter doesn't hurt, either.
Cheers.

Yes, it's just two doors down. You can't miss it.

Now you stay right here, and I'll be right back. OK?

Great tones and lighting. Very nice.

Great to have the presence of mind to grab the camera. Did you tell him he'd be on photonet? Thought you might get a discount.

Thanks, Dennis and Lou Ann, for the comments. Amazing. I haven't even put it up for critique and I've got comments. That must be some kind of record.
Lou Ann, your Africa trip must be right around the corner, huh?
Cheers.

Hi, Susan,
Thanks for stopping by. If I remember correctly, I did try brightening these, but wasn't crazy about the result, since it seemed to almost make them transparent, so settled on this. And monitors make a big difference, too.
It rained here for 21 straight days, so was hard to photograph anything, but we've had a little sun the last couple of days. Maybe I can do better.
Cheers
