A truly great image. Has that 3-D look and feel to it. Congratulations.

Although never known as a muscle car, this Ford Maverick sure looked
the part. Vintage 1972, I believe. All comments welcome, of course.

I must admit it was a pretty impressive-looking car. My grandmother owned one and it was much tamer-looking than this one.

It is a great building to take pictures of. I like the treatment of these. Nice job. And congratulations on your new camera.

Something a little different for me. Any comments are welcome, as always.

I like this, Lou Ann. I'm not normally a big fan of the selective color thing, but this is probably a good use for it. Certainly does get attention and makes one think, if the viewer understands the setting.
Hope all is well.

Lou Ann - one of the biggest problems with taking car photos at car shows is that you can almost never isolate the subject. They're all together, there are hundreds of people around, etc. Very difficult.

Hi, Lou Ann,
This is not a composite, but I did lighten the shadows to give it that "floaty" feel to it. The photo was taken in the church parking lot. This is a beautiful car. They don't make em like this anymore. I'd like to have a 1957 Desoto with the huge fins and three tail lights. They made them in a pink color that was really nice. Seems like everything is white or gray anymore and there are no more two-tone cars. Have you noticed that?

You did a nice job on this one, Lou Ann. I probably agree about the crop but on the other hand, if you crop it, you lose the symmetry. It is difficult to decide how and where to shoot here.

I like this one, Lou Ann. Elegant simplicity.

This is Abby, who was recently adopted by our daughter and her
husband. All comments welcome.

Actually, Lou Ann, the skies here are often just a grayish white or a clear blue, so you were fortunate to get this type of sky. I do remember, though, that it was a pretty day that day you went back down there.
I like the composition. This is always a great place for photography, no matter how many times you see the photos or the memorial.
Cheers

I like this, Lou Ann. Lots of texture and intricate things to look at. Well done.

Why should the photo need a "bottom?" Many architectural shots do not show the foundation. Just curious as to why this is a deficiency.
-
Yes, New Orleans is a little "different." The attitude reminds me of an old Las Vegas, although the architecture is nothing alike. Been there several times, and never ceases to amaze.

This is a great street shot, Lou Ann - and the shadows make for more interest. The last guy looks like he's eating lunch from a trashcan, and I guess the drummer carries his own gallon of water. You should enter this in a contest somewhere.
You said something about "back to DC." Are you moving back down that way? Had to ask. Curiosity got the best of me. One of these days, you'll have to settle down.
Cheers

Comments welcome, as always. This was backlit by the sun. Not sure
if I got the structure light enough - or maybe too light. Opinions
welcome. Thanks

Hi, Lou Ann,
You can see the color version on my Flickr site, but the B&W is definitely the way to go. Thanks for stopping by.
