It waqs a very bright,sunny day. This and a couple of others were for a cats photo competition. I needed a sunny day so I could use my 75-300 lens to get pictures of the cats.

i like this,it caught my eye

I really like this shot.We dont spend enough time looking upwards and we miss so many opportunities. Love the way the trees seem to be avoiding the tower/chimney.

wow this is amazing.I thought it looked interesting on the thumbnail but the full screen view shows all the detail.Excellent.

interesting and different approach.Thought it was a photoshop job but you used the good old coated-with-vaseline filter route.

Taken on my fave camera too(I SO want one)

When i first saw the thumbnail i thought they were little boats on moorings. I love the composition and the colour in that background is awesome!

This is a great shot Leslie,patterns everywhere.

Wouldnt look half as good in colour,a perfect mono subject.

This was taken in december 01 with a 28-80 lens.I just loved the

sculptural feel of the dead tree with the snow giving extra form and

softness.

 

Is there any way to remove that other tree from the background?

I'd have liked to have included more of the lower half of the background colour but unfortunately I couldnt reach any higher as i was standing in the hallway having to look up which blocked out most of it.

excellent close up of an american(?)tree,Im guessing its similar to our chestnut trees here in UK.

I see I'm not the only one to photograph pine cones! nice tight shot tho its a little dark.

nice shot but a little low in contrast and also Id have gone in closer or cropped the image to panoramic format to avoid the fence in front.

love the shadows on the wall.nice contrast with the building and the sky too.

Would have liked more seperation in the tones but apart fronm that its an interesting composition.

I finally got the scanner to work so I scanned in the original for you to compare.

i deliberatley chose the vertical format to include lots of foreground,it being simple,a ploughed field.

Yes shes a beauty,but has a habit of chasing birds!

interesting use of the american flag,like the background,kinda topsy turvy.

 

i dont know or care what kind of digital treatment this has had,its a nice image.
