nancy_patrick 0 Posted August 13, 2002 I used a 100mm lens to compress the reflections and underexposed the image a bit to create the deep shadows. All ratings and comments are welcome and appreciated. Link to comment

mg 0 Posted August 14, 2002 A tad more crisp and a tad more light, and this was easily a 9. Impressive colors. Regards. Link to comment
tonys 0 Posted August 15, 2002 It looks perfect to me. A tad lighter and the shot would've been ruined. I also think that more pictures like these were posted, I couldn't rate it so high for originality. I'd happily hang it on my wall. Link to comment
jeff_clark 0 Posted August 17, 2002 It's a nice image, but very cliche. In fact, I believe Cokin has a similar image on an Inhancing Filter package. Is that flare or haze at the top? What's always amusing, is that the people using this film, haven't realized it's full potential since this image, like many others, is underexposed. It's not a bad image, but underexposed. This is why we bracket. Travel all that way, spend all that money, and save money on a roll of film? Link to comment
aaron_c. 0 Posted August 20, 2002 The mixture of bright colors with a dark background here is wonderful. Nice shot. Link to comment
gswint 0 Posted August 21, 2002 I like your idea of underexposing a little. I think the deep blacks really accentuate the colors. I bet this slide is impressive projected! Link to comment
jbrand 0 Posted August 24, 2002 Great job capturing the colors! This is the best Fall reflection photo I've seen. Link to comment
t_n1 0 Posted August 26, 2002 ...and underexposed the image a bit to create the deep shadows. she wanted the image to look that way folks. nice colors. i have a question though. did you use any sort of filter on this image? maybe a polarizer? Link to comment
nancy_patrick 0 Posted August 27, 2002 No polarizer was used. The exposure was about 3 seconds at F11 on a misty overcast morning. A slight curves adjustment was used in Photoshop which would simulate the effects of a polarizer on the deep shadows, but not the highlights. Link to comment
reeltoreel 0 Posted August 29, 2002 A wonderful picture, beautifully composed and PROPERLY exposed to create the desired mood. The only negative is the use of Fuji film for fall colors. This shot would have benefited greatly from the use of Kodachrome or perhaps Agfachrome RSX E6 with an 81B to warm it up a bit. Still, a wonderful picture. Link to comment
