Took a shot of my jeep after it had been raining all day. I would
appreciate any comments on technical as well as compositional aspects.
thanks

do you ever look at any of your landscape shots and say to yourself "i do the type of shots that people aspire to do.."... because you do....superb

Quick picture in low light handheld with a D1 of my roomates dog.
Shot at 1600 iso and cleaned up in photoshop....

rule...of....thirds.....please, look it up...

good shot and good use of rule of thirds. only thing that gets me is the beach chair kind of intruding on the shot

i dont care for photoshopped reflections

yes, crop out the sky. i also would have used a slower shutter speed

shots like these make me feel inadequate, yet motivated at the same time....cool composition

excellent. The effect of not knowing if it was shot from land or in the water conveys the feeling of coldness that was probably present at this scene

i appreciate the sentiments trying to be portrayed, but you would of made an even more powerful message by using a lower angle and also making sure the silouhete effect is more dramatic. The horizon (in this case the trees) inteferes too much with the kids heads and such.
This picture looks more like a parent taking a shot of their kids, rather than an image trying to remind you of childhood

i actually think you conveyed the mood you were looking for, with the tone and composition. Granted you can nitpick the presence of more trees, but this immediately hit me with a sense of loneliness and despair.
