Interesting effect with the water. Did you manipulate it or did it come out this white due to the turbulence? I like the perspective of the shot and the abundance of earthy colors contrasted with the white water. Pretty cool image.

I agree! The lack of color adds rather than detracts from this image. I also agree about the soft focus, it really adds to the image. A color image that was sharper would have seemed a little too mundane. This is a really neat image!

Very crisp image! Your composition sets of the distance between foreground and background well and the light control is fantastic! This image really works for me!

Interesting image! The low contrast really makes the image work. The contrast and the grain give it a kind of forboding feel, like the storm is just moments away. Good job!

The overall compostition of this image is great! I agree with some of the other comments; the tall, straight trees set off the curving road quite nicely. Not to harsh your color choice but I think that a nice, contrasy B+W of this same scene would be pleasing as well. Really nice work!

Overall, I think this is a nice image. Using blur on flowing water always has a pleasing effect. The stream placement off-center gives the image an open feeling and because it is bright, it really draws the eye. You might enjoy working this area a bit more. Try getting a study of the streambed close up or working the bits of debris in the stream. The nice thing about the digital format is that it's free and you can shoot dozens of shots and get immediate feedback. You have a good start here. Keep trying different ideas and posting them for comments!
