jeff_vickers1 0 Posted August 9, 2004 I am an amatuer looking for any tips on how I can be a better photographer. I was heading home from getting my hair cut on Saturday and decide to take some photos. I haven't taken any for quite some time, having gone through a bunch when I first got my D100, but since then trailed off. I kind of liked this one, but I think I could have done better. Thanks for any advice you can give... Jeff Link to comment
randall ellis 2 Posted August 9, 2004 Overall, I think this is a nice image. Using blur on flowing water always has a pleasing effect. The stream placement off-center gives the image an open feeling and because it is bright, it really draws the eye. You might enjoy working this area a bit more. Try getting a study of the streambed close up or working the bits of debris in the stream. The nice thing about the digital format is that it's free and you can shoot dozens of shots and get immediate feedback. You have a good start here. Keep trying different ideas and posting them for comments! Link to comment
jeff_vickers1 0 Posted August 10, 2004 Thanks everyone...I think I will go back to the same location and try it again. I have never tried to improve photos of the same subject before, always moving on to new things and locations instead, that is a good idea... Link to comment
