I've been asked why this photo. Because:
* of the crazy reflections;
*of the rapid colour changes caused by the reflections;
*because of the tiny imperfections that you only notice in macro;
*because capturing glass embossed print on glass is HARD - the right lighting is a challenge (happy to hear how others do it);
*because glass is beautiful. What we take for granted would have been an object of wonder in an earlier century

Elaine - the whole series is very imaginative. Very eye-catching. Bravo.
Regards.

Many thanks, Elaine. I see we both have a fascination with photographing forests/trees. Enjoyed viewing your portfolio too.

I like the b/w vs. colour treatment. Very effective. Well done.

This is great - such a contrast between the serious quasi-military faces and the one laughing face.
PS - hope the leopard skin is fake.

Thanks Ken!

Thank you, Marek. Appreciate the encouragement.

Marek, this is very good. I don't recognize all the items in the photo but they each make what looks like a very carefully crafted contribution to the overall composition. The positioning, the shapes and the overall colour palette are very, very creative. Kudos.

Todd, I'm looking at it again, this time in large, and liking it even more. It's a *very* good photo.
PS for Vincent also, I thought at first this was just a spelling variation on the Mynah bird , but no it is a separate species, and Todd (shouldn't have doubted) has it correctly as a Noisy Miner.

Tranquility! Nice.

Thanks Ken. Appreciate the feedback.

Love the colours and composition.

Sergio, I wasn't sure whether I had taken the abstraction too far. As usual, I find it hard to judge my own photos, so very glad to have your encouragement. Thank you.

Nice one!
-
Daniel - your comments are very generous - and much appreciated. Many thanks.

Peter

Laurent, thanks for the comment. I'm quite pleased with this one - it's actually a splice of three wide angle images. I was out today trying some architectural shots with the WA but they don't please me, so this may be the only post for a while with WA. Incidentally, while I was taking the bush scene I found some lovely fungi to photograph, but of course, I did not have the macro with me. :(

Thank you for the encouragement, Daniel. Much appreciated.

Daniel, I'm intrigued. What/where is this?
-
Very creative. Eye-catching. Congrats.

Great advice, Laurent. Many thanks. I'll let you know if I get anything good from my initial rental period.
-
Laurent, I'm about to rent a wide-angle - first time playing with one. This shot of yours, is my first master class on how to use it effectively. Really nicely done. Félicitations.
