Many thanks for taking time to comment. I was kicking myself after uploading it for not calling it "tranquility". Glad that word came to your mind too.
Also, your comment let me discover your "Storm Waves" photo. Congratulations on that one. Great shot.

I'm only now realizing that this was an Editor's Pick in 2015. Well, I've been slow to realize it, and slow to say thank you to the editor(s), but I hope a late thank you is better than none: thank you!

I've only now realized this was awarded "Photo Of The Day" in November 2016. My thanks to the judges for their vote, and my apologies for the late thank-you note.

Giangiorgio,
This must have been a very, very difficult shot. The lighting is difficult, you cannot pose the musicians, you have to anticipate their movements, you cannot get onto the stage. And yet you captured it perfectly. The lighting, the focus, the timing and the sheer joy on the musicians faces is wonderful. You make the hard shots look very easy.
Bravo.
Best wishes,
Peter.

Mike - I agree ... up to a point... Glad you got a laugh though. Thanks as always.
Rosario - Many thanks!
Best wishes to you both,
Peter.

Holger, Chris, Guiseppe, George, Mike,
Many, many thanks for taking time to leave your encouragement. My family (and Holger) were quite right. Judging by the mediocre average rating on the image there are a fair number of viewers who dislike this picture. I would have been tempted to delete it, except for your encouraging feedback.
Best wishes to you all.

Holger,
I don't often spend time looking at shots of interiors, but this one caught me. Love the tranquility, the quiet, the light flooding in through the large window and reflecting off the dark woodwork. Even the colour palette is great - complimentary browns and blues.
Excellent capture.
Congrats and best wishes,
Peter

Hmm - my family warned me this is extreme and people will either love it or hate -
none the less - I appreciate your comments.

I like the whole fishing series. I think this one may be the strongest - at least for me - because of the curved net leading the eye to the fishermen, leading in turn to the boat, the horizon, the strong clouds. Just lovely.
By the way I did notice the post with the fisherman with the large hat - now displaying more facial features. Nice.
Congrats and best wishes,
Peter.

Hi Ron,
Lovely composition, lovely lighting, and just the right moment with the geese crossing.
Congrats,

A lovely, iconic, Cape scene.
Have you tried bringing out a bit of detail in the face of the nearest fisherman. He looks like a real character. Maybe a bit of dodging or a PS overlay layer with a bit of white near the face?
It's such a great capture, it would be a bonus to bring out some detail there - if you can.
Best wishes,
Peter.

Thank you all for taking time to comment. Your comments are much appreciated. For the record, this one, like most of the Forest Abstract series is a panorama of images pieced together by PS. This one was a bear to work with because of the size of the panorama. The PS composite is ~ 17000 pixels x 11000 pixels, and my PC was s l o w while grinding through this. Thanks again.
