Beautiful! I would give a bit more contrast to the picture. jean

This is a night shot, the high contrast is due to the heavy light on
the church in the background. I found a place to get my camera stable
to shot for 1 hour or so. Thanks for any comment. jean

Fritz, Thanks for the comment, I feel sorry having ennoyed you with my picture but don't be harsh with yourself: why do you stay at a place you dont like?

thanks for the comments, Yes Maurreen this is a photo that is manipulated until to get the result. The original isnt just availaible, it is in my archives on one of the 1000 CDs that I will need to (one day) organise..I will try to publish it here next time I can find it..Jean

I would appreciate any comment on this picture, thanks! jean

Nice colors indeed, but here you could have improved the shot by having a focusing point soewhere on the picture (a tree a horse or any other element). The horizontal line of the fence is a bit boring, add dynamic in the picture by composing with a diagonal: find the right shooting angle. Finaly the fence is out of focus, Choose well the subject of the photo and make sure it is in focus. Hope you dont find my remarks too harsh, but I think the best is to tell frankly my opinion. regards, jean

Hello Ross, thanks for your gentle comment on my presentation and sorry for visiting your folio a bit late, but here are my comments (you asked for them so I will pick few pictures if you dont mind).
lets start with this one: I think you got the eye for an interesting shot, but in a way the bush is too distracting. maybe you should have zoomed on the birds and keep as much of the poles (?) possible and avoiding the dark bush. Jean

Denis well I have no explanation (I was not aware the size of my picture was decreasing), but I generally use 600 pixel wide ---this is the size of the large version----, I have got problem sometimes with downloading larger pictures.

Some pictures are a matter of taste....it is useful to know and remember some deslike such manipulation John....but I think that you are very severe with you rating....

You have a very attractive folio, among one I like most is this one (I would be tempted to correct the verticality of the window frame!), jean

I found those natural slices under a dull sky, and added in ps a sky
that the slices were deserving. Thank you for any comment. Jean

Chen this is true that the colours are manipulated and this is also indicated under the technical specification that I wrote when sending the photo. so I dont think anybody was believing this was the direct outcome of the camera.
