Thanks for taking a look, please leave a comment.

I've looked over several of the images you posted on the critique forum, and I think this stands out. A simple but strong image. The gesture of the person on top of the rock is a real celebration of achievement.

I love the curves and textures in this photograph.
Please leave a comment.
I also have a black and white version in my portfolio.
Thanks,
Dennis

I like to see a version where you're closer to the flowers so that the individual flowers stand out more.

I've done worse under better conditions.

It's beautiful. Nice light, good use of shapes and textures.

I really like the thought behind the image. The lines from the rocks in the foreground converge where the wave crashes. Great idea. But the lighting is flat and it lessens the impact. I think it needs sunrise or sunset light to put shadows on the rocks and bring out their texture and patterns.

I think the bird is too low in the frame, the lower wing is clipped. But the lighting is good, you've captured a good moment in time, and the fast shutter speed created a beautiful background from the water.

A nicely composed, well thought out photo. Sky seems a little too washed out to me. But I think you've done a good job of arranging the elements.
-
I think you would come up with something more interesting by getting in closer and looking for patterns among the slices.
-
Very intense! I love the expression, and how you used the rocks to frame the face.

Very pretty and elegant. Was this natural or artificial lighting?

Nice simple compositiion. Maybe cropped too tight on the right? I think some work with levels would have increased contrast, brought out some of the sunset colors, and still have been true to what you saw in the field.

Simple and wonderful! Beautiful lighting and mood. Nice use of implied lines with the street lights and people walking along the the road. Even the snow appears to have texture.
A great image.

Hey Pnina,
This was shot at 35mm, 1/20th @ f14. Looking back, I'm surprised I didn't try a wider angle version.
I didn't do any cropping in the computer.
Thanks for your comment and questions!

Beautiful image. I think it stands out from most sunrise/sunset photos because you chose an interest silhouette and reflection.

Lovely lighting! There are some distracting hotspots in the background that I suggest you darken so they don't stand out. Otherwise I think you have a nice balance of light setting the dancer off from the orchestra.

On your bicycle scene in Vientiane, you write that your girlfriend says she didn't know where to rest her eyes. That's how I feel about this scene. There's no center of interest for me to rest my eyes.

It's a nice scene, and I can see why you wanted to take the photo, but I don't see a focal point. I took a quick look at the other photos in this folder, and they all had a stronger sense of design.
