You've received some very good suggestions so far. I agree with Andris that it's weighted too much to the left, and when I view his re-composition, I notice that my eye become more engaged and travels more around the photo.
What I like most about this is that you've had a clear idea in mind when you took the photo and have communicated it strongly.

I think it's overexposed a little. But it's a good action capture. You've managed to make pigeons look interesting!

Very creative and original!

I didn't do anything with the digital file except to reduce it so I could post it here. Honestly, I thought I'd have to play with it some, and usually do with most of my images. But this one just didn't seem to need it.

Early spring on a ranch in western North Dakota. The horses are part
of a domestic herd. The foal was only a couple of weeks old, not yet
ready to stray far from his mother's side.

Nice colors and the sky makes a good background. But I don't like the merger between the two trees in the center.
-
I love the white on white look.
-
I chose this because I liked the repeating lines in the soil, and the
diagonal lines of the hill tops.
-
I think the face needs more light. Too hard to see the eyes.

I'm aware that the tip of the longest reed was cut off. That
happened during the scan. But other than that, what do you think?

Shot in late spring, the foal couldn't have been more a few weeks old.
I was with a photography workshop at Theodore Roosevelt National
Park. The leader had spotted this family and correctly calculated
where they'd cross the main park road. We had about 90 minutes with
the family before they finally took off.

Part of the Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes Preserve.
All the photos in this folder were taken with a digital point and
shoot, an experiment to see how well I could do with this kind of
camera.

This was part of an experiment to see what king of photos I could get
from a digital point and shoot.

I wish I'd taken this one.

Color balance seems off. Cloud "spray" above the group is great! But I wish the dancers were in sharper focus.
-
I'd like to see another version where you take us down the street, rather than this view from the outside.

Nice colors. I think the structures on the left clutter the shot. Most or all of them could be cropped. I think if you were closer to the windmill, used that as a silhouette, might make for a powerful shot.

Doesn't quite capture the drama of an incoming storm for me. And I think the power poles pull attention away from the sky.
-
I like the overgrown feel to this. Appears a bit overexposed. Part of the tree to the left of the car appears washed out on my screen. Moving a bit to the right may have cropped out the half tree on the far left and brought in more of the open door.

I like what you've done with the colors in photoshop. But it also makes me wonder what the original looked like. I wish the corner of the trailer wasn't placed in the middle of the photo. I think it gives too much weight to the center and divides the photo into two halves instead of one whole.

Good lighting and pleasing colors. I'd prefer a darker background. Have you tried using black cloth as backgrounds for shots like these? Can be a great effect.
