having recently been walking a variety of trails and tried to capture similar scenes with mundane results, this seemingly easy shot is much harder to pull off than people might think.....hope your gear survived the thunderstorm.

not bad for a guy who works for Fox! thanks for your kind words. you've got a great talent for color tones, and this is a fine example. has a magical, peaceful quality, which i suspect is exactly what you wanted. i like the way the light comes in in the center upper portion of the photo as well. i'm not crazy about the trees in the foreground - don't like the way they lean and that they are not the same distance from the camera, but they do frame the falls, which is kind of neat.

Looking at your image I feel a great sense if restfullness, akin to entering a safe sanctuary. What a great place to sit on a hot summer day, relaxing & thinking about nothing in particular, content to watch the stream slowly flow the ledge. Perfect example of a healing art photo. Best regards-Ross
