Hi Tatiana,

welcome back! I really love this photo, even though I would have chosen a different crop if it were mine (cropping off the top 15 % to get an even simpler composition). The snow is tangible and perfectly exposed, the shadows are majestic and the image seems to reach out to the viewer. Wonderful, a favorite! Kind regards, Vincent

It's obvious to me that you're always paying attention to your surroundings and perceiving things a little differently than most of us. Perception and composition are only part of the story though; being able to render what you see in a perfectly focused , perfectly exposed photo is what makes so many of your pictures extraordinary.

I like shadows and snow, especially the way you've presented it here with very fine clarity and detail. As others have stated the exposure is perfect....................BR, Holger

Tatiana,

Very creative image with interesting title.

Very artistic old school B/W photography.

PP is just right without oversharpening, etc.

I really like it!

Regards,

ZT

Tatiana, I don't know how or why I missed this image, but hopefully it's not too late. In my opinion, photographs of winter scenes like this just cry out to be done in b&w. You definitely have answered the call. I'm truly impressed by the slightly subdued tonal contrasts, involving just a few hints of dark shadow. Those the tree casts on the snow are gentle. Also the presence of snow on the small branch near the left edge gives the image an artistic touch. And, finally, count me as totally agreeing with all the previous remarks. - - My best, michael
