Film Camera Week for April 5

Recommended Posts

Greetings all and welcome to our new thread. Post all the images you like from any film camera. I'll start with a roll of Tri-X that I recently shot with my Rollei 35.

sunny late afternoon near end of the street

And a couple from the Rollei 35S

One more from Tupelo Auto Museum (Plus-X)

We heard a crash but didn't think too much about it. This is what we found outside later across the street

Someone hit the speed limit sign and even pulled it a few feet

Looking forward to seeing everyone's images.

A few from a roll of Kentmere 100 developed in PMK Pyro. The camera was a Pentax ME Super fitted with the 35-135mm Tamron Adaptall II f/3.5-4.5 lens (Model 40A) As the sun moves North our shadows lengthen; it's a time of year I enjoy.

Awesome work with HIE, Allan Cobb. I shot a few rolls of that during the late 70's and early 80's. Then one more roll shortly before it was discontinued. It has a look that I haven't been able to get with any other film. I even left a roll in the freezer in 1978 and thawed it out and used it in the late 90's. It actually worked although there were a few emulsion spots.

Thanks Andrew and Mike. I have five rolls of HIE left in my freezer, a later batch that expired in ‘07 and it still seems to work fine; with only a few rolls left I have to be really selective on what I use it for. Add HIE to the list of B&W films I wish would be brought back, I love its unique look!

Here's one from early 2000's on HIE. I don't remember why I tinted it after scanning. I also used a #25 red.

I have one roll left that I will eventually shoot. In addition to the #25 I plan to use a deep red #29 as well as a couple of true IR filters: an R72 and another that I don't remember what's called but I think it blocks all wavelength shorter than around 870 nm.

I like the Hill Country images. Here are couple from last month, testing a 35mm folder.

Also, from a St. Patrick's Day parade in New Orleans.

First use of a Kodak AG Retina IIa

I am happy to know I am not the only one in the Austin area out playing with a film camera.
