Hi Gang!

Not much here. Crossing my fingers for clear skys tonight and the Blood moon. I'm going to play around with an old mirror lens as well as the 600mm +1.4-S if the clouds stay away.

Anyway, just a Catbird, nothing special.

I found a Vivitar 2X macro TC at my local thrift shop for $3.50! No A contact, but still. Put my FA43 on it and shot some leaves in my front lawn. These aren't perfect pictures, by any means, but I like the colors and bokeh:

Those reminded me how much I like shooting with my 43, it has gotten loft in a shuffle of newer lenses. Here's one of my daughter, sans color (courtesy of Nik Silver Efex, I think).

Thanks Jeff. My 'just' I think is more a reflection that I had hoped to see a few migrants as well. I like 'em too!

I posted this over in Nature, but happy belated Super-Moon eclipse to all Pentaxians

Nick, those leaves are really nice. I like the DOF and luminescence. Good shots, well seen. I also have a Vivitar 2x TC and it's not bad for hat it is. I used mine for a moon photo the other night and it worked pretty well.
I'm late to the party this week. Had a busy weekend and did a three part engagement photo session with a nice young couple who wanted fall foliage and mountain top photos of themselves. So that was pretty fun "work". I lugged a lot of gear quite a few miles for this project and the couple are thrilled with the photos so far. If you are interested, I have a gallery of quick edits here. This is Green Lake outside Crested Butte. The elevation is well over 10,000 ft. here and it keeps going up for another 2000 from there. One of my favorite zones around here.
Then of course I got out for the Super Moon and Eclipse.
This is the moonrise over the continental divide near Monarch Pass and Mt. Chipeta. The eclipse was just starting to darken the left side of the moon here. This photo was very popular on Facebook. Hopefully that will lead to some sales!
Finally, here is my cliche moon shot. I took this from my porch.
