EricM
Thanks Michael. I love cruising around on Google Earth. Exciting times. And with augmented reality and 'internet of tings' just around the corner with wearable computers like Google Glass and Microsoft Hololens etc, this will be even better, soon. I can't imagine what we'll have in five years.
MichaelChang
Hey Eric, I enjoy Google's various mapping products as well.

I wonder why Google chose to bundle "Google Sky" into Google Earth Pro; Google Sky has always appeared to be a half-baked project and the integration into GEP is terrible. For example, I'm in Google Sky and a search for "Andromeda Galaxy" brings the map to the label: Andromeda Computer Systems in Alberta, Canada, but pointed somewhere in deep space.

Let's hope the embellishment of the product will continue, and that giving GEP away won't mean the product has been abandoned.
EricM
Soon, I suspect Google will sync the Google Earth and Streetview images/data? Project Tango seems really interesting and valuable as well. Welcome, Skynet :)

EricM
There's always been a free and a paid version. The paid version was $400/yr but it is now free as well. Check the links, it's a fantastic upgrade
User_2000406
I just wish they'd restore g-force navigation, which enable much easier, more flexible, and seamless zooming around the landscape than other navigation methods or the flight simulator.
q.g._de_bakker
You always have to ask yourself what Google is getting for free in return.
AJHingel
Thanks Michael, great tool.
Q.G. whatever Google has managed to hide in the small prints and and elsewhere, we will see whether it is legal also in my part of the world. Until then, enjoy !

Spearhead

You always have to ask yourself what Google is getting for free in return.

It's not particularly difficult to read the terms on the download page. Michael gave the link above and if you click on it, you will find all the terms. I'm not sure why this is so difficult for some people.
Music and Portraits Blog: Life in Portugal
