Hello All. Been absent a few weeks, good to see all the great Nikon shots again. This was taken at a beautiful garden my Wife and I visited last week. Shot with D300 and 105 micro on a tripod with exposure delay mode in live view. ISO 200, I forgot the shutter speed and aperture. Maybe 1/13th at F/10 or something.

00UJru-167905684.jpg.e4d36d5097c8ac59be96ef20382f486a.jpg

happy WeDnEsDaY!!!
this shot is from last weekend's Chinatown Street Fair in Oakland. while not as well-known as SF's parade, Oakland's event is very cultural and pretty cool, if somewhat low-key. i went looking for a shot which would somehow capture a sense of authentic chinese-American cultural tradition, with a hint of moderninity. used the d80 and tokina 12-24, converted to B&W in PSE, raised contrast, otherwise straight from the camera.

00UJxu-167941584.jpg.4a114a2ae0756cc85228b7bbc4140990.jpg
