(I found the kit lens to be a bit soft, so I later exchanged it for the 18-200 mm f/3.5-5.6 VR and am much happier with the results.) barryfrankelphotography
My submission today is an image from The Race Track in Death Valley taken earlier this year. I was told by several people in the park to avoid this spot, as the road in is extremely treacherous, and could yield severe consequences. Drive on! Well, I was not disappointed, and made it back safely. The large rocks on the dry lake bed mysteriously move, and leave trails of their adventure.

matt1664883317
Hey Dave
They are around the same time period. They were my dads as well and I know got them in the 60's but I don't know the exact year. There are fun to take out every once in a while and aside from the 4 iron rattling they play pretty nicely.

I'll try to contribute to this nifty thread once more if you guys don't mind.
Found these dolls left on a brick wall in one of the streets here in Belgrade. It was quite eerie and disturbing seeing them placed like that. the way they are positioned and left there and the fact that no one removed them till this day (they are still laying there today - had to check - lol)...

Nikon D90, 18-105mm @ 1/40s, f11, ISO 200

The rooves were certainly old and twisted, but I think the general curve is due to the wide angle of the lens.

liljuddakalilknyttphotogra
Hi everyone in the Nikon forum,
I'm late this time as well..... I will try to get time to comment later - but all are as usual interesting & inspiring. I'm still in Las Vegas with my sister & her family so time is still kind of not on my side. But I will try to comment later....
This week my choice is of my sister & the man who's finally made my sister happy & harmonious again. I feel it shows her emotional state today as opposed to a few years ago.
D700, 24-70mm at ISO 200, EV - 0.7, 1/125s, Spot metering in A mode at 66mm

jannekaakinen
Such collection of great photos again in this thread! I'm glad I took the time to stop by here before going to bed, it's been really long day and you guys just made it a bit more bearable! And special thanks to those who commented my photo last week, did not have time to post my comments for the last week's thread, but your kind words were really appreciated, and all your excellent photos too!

I've been really busy, again. Haven't shot much, I'm working in Oulu Music Video Festival this week. And by the way, it's the festival that hosts the Air Guitar World Championships on this Friday! Now there's a photo opportunity you really would not want to miss! :) Too bad I have only couple shortish/normal primes with me here...
My contribution for this week's thread was shot one and a half week ago while I was just walking around and testing my latest cheapy lens acquisition.
