tpernal
Good Morning All!! A welcome sight for a mid-August heat wave. My offering for this week is not as breathtaking as many posts, but every time I scroll past this one it evokes a feeling nonetheless. Last night of vacation in Playa del Carmen. Cheers!

Jon Eckman
Really impresive work everyone. This was the end of a sailing day back in May on Long Island Sound. I used my old S2 Pro with a 28-105 Nikkor since my wife commandeered the D200.

keerthi
Hi!To all Wednesdaypic posters,
Cogratulations to all the posters for making this thread over 200 posts long last week.Because of the time advantage,I tend to post relatively early and hence unable to acknowledge the fine efforts of other posters. I am always thrilled at the wide variety of interests and the opportunity to learn from the perceptive comments by people like Matt,Shun,Lil....

Jeannean Ryman-Nice picture.Thought they were two generations of the hopper.
Roy Skridlov-Clean take.Would a slower shutter speed got the propellers as a whirring disc?
Matthew-Wow! What brilliant colours.
Erik-in our town there is a building with similar shutters, but is painted a dull gray.
Bogdan-Ummmmm!!!
From me this week a simple bloom.

lawrence_ho
I am trying a complete different route this week ...
This picture was taken last year when I visited my mom, whose health has gone the wrong direction gradually over the years. I took her out to a nice lunch and made a stop at the market while she waited. As I turned and saw this scence, I just shot this picture kind of candidly. I must confess that I picked this picture based more on my emotion attached with the subject than technical merits.
Hope you all don't mind my little story.
Photo was taken with a D90, 18-200mm lens; ISO200, f16, 1/60s

Matt Laur
Some handsome work this morning, everyone. Here's one from last week, a shot I'd also posted on PN for critique - I don't think that's against the Wednesday rules!. Only a fellow photographer (indeed, that's who's pictured, here) would humor me and stand there while I changed to a wider lens to make the most of the perspective. Shot with a D300 at ISO 400, 1/640th, and with a Sigma 10-20 ultrawide at 16mm, f/5.

jessegonzalez
Hello everyone, Great photos on here so far on this fine Wednesday. I took this photo over the weekend in downtown Toronto. "Batman" was standing on a box and just playing to the crowd. I was also amazed that it was above 28c and he was in this rubber suit. Hope everybody has a great day.

Batman, Nikon D50, Nikkor 80-200

steve_lyon1
We have a variety of small wildlife that live in or pass through our yard, entertainment for the cat and us. The bunnies really like eating the seed pods from the large mesquite tree. This little guy is about 2 months old, and even though I was shooting through a window from about 15 feet, he was startled when I sneezed. This is the result.
