Easy to use web-site templates

I have no experience building a web-site. I would like, however, to attempt to

build my own site. Would like recommendations from members who have experience

working with site hosting companys that offer easy to use templates.

I used an allwebcodesign.com template for my site and am not really pleased. It was cheap enough and easy enough to modify (I know some HTML) but the performance of the slide show viewer is simply awful, and erratic. The template also requires that you make your thumbnails and low-rez images yourself. The picture frames are difficult to use for thumbnails, and the overall picture resizing is poor.

www.easysite.com is about the easiest I found so far for photographers.

I use NVU, http://nvudev.com/index.php. Very easy to use.

Just do a search for free web templates, there are thousands out there! Some are very good. http://www.oswd.org/ has some quite good stuff, and a nice philosophy....
