Mike Gammill
Greetings all and welcome to our new thread. Post all the images you like from any film camera. I'll start with some images from the Olympus XA. Film was cold stored Panatomic-X rated at box speed and processed in HC 110 dilution H. guard rails waiting on pizza (camera propped on table edge for slow shutter speed) when company bring their own guest quarters cleaning our storage typical summer afternoon along Main Street Street is busy later because Main Street is also Highway 50 which connects West Point to Columbus This image slightly overexposed as the averaging meter of the XA was likely affected by the shadow in the lower left. parking lot (similar view last week with Fuji GS 645S). Typical light fall off that is characteristic of the XA. At least the gentle shutter release makes it easy avoid camera shake with the slow shutter speeds that are selected when using slow film (like Panatomic-X and Rolleipan 25) One more. One of several vintage Mustangs for sale locally. I think this one is a 1965. Will try to go back later and get a closer photo. Looking forward to seeing everyone's photos. Will have more later in the weekend.

Rick_van_Nooij
I've had very little inspiration or energy to go out and shoot over the last couple of weeks (the 40+ Celsius weather didn't help last week) So, here's a shot from two months back. m42dave
A few test photos taken earlier this summer with an Auto Miranda Macron 55/3.5, Miranda Sensorex, Ektar 100. This is an uncommon macro lens that I picked up for $10 as it had a slightly damaged mount and a dinged filter ring, issues that were easy to fix. LIke the earlier preset version, this Macron gives 1:1 reproduction without accessories (there was also a compact EC version with 1:2 reproduction, or 1:1 with a matched extension tube). This particular lens is a bit odd in that it has a maximum aperture pin for the Auto Sensorex EE and later cameras, but lacks meter coupling or EE setting for these cameras, nor does it have a stop-down lever. Therefore, it does not have full TTL metering capability across the different Miranda models. It works well with the Sensorex which allows open-aperture metering with any lens, though you have to manually transfer the aperture setting from the camera's meter to the lens. It's a hefty optic too, weighing in at over 16 oz. In any case, I was very pleased with the results. Will have a few more samples next week. Mike Gammill
Here's a few more. These are from my Maxxum 8000i with Maxxum 50mm f 2.8 macro. I labeled the folder for these as Plus-X, but I actually used Tri-X. lamp outside local shop Izumi, same gear plus 3500 xi flash neighbor's Jeep- hasn't changed, but shrub in foreground has grown a lot since last year I find that when I use a Maxxum I prefer the 50mm macro as my normal lens over the 50mm f 1.7. The faster lens is a good performer, but I like the ability to focus down to 1:1. That and the fact that the f 1.7 causes the display to flash "help" on my Maxxum 9xi. To unlock you have to remove and reinstall the battery.

Mike Gammill
Nice work with the Yashica, Rick. The 230 AF, like the Olympus OM77 AF that I posted some shots from last week, were competition to the Maxxums. The 230 AF, though, allows manual settings that the OM77 doesn't have. I think the 230 is a very capable camera and a good choice for anyone wanting one of the earlier AF SLR's. I think during that time Yashica offered a 1.6X AF teleconverter that allowed manual focus Y/C mount lenses to autofocus if the maximum aperture was f 4 or faster.
