  3. Nikon F2 with a Nikkor 55mm f/1.2 on Ilford Pan F50. Epson V700. Same kit all 3 images. This large model was pretty good. Had the engine noise and creaked and groaned when moving. Heads of the 2 in the turret looked around, keeping lookout. This was at a steam steam rally event. The engine here was powering a large log saw and some Karen downwind complained about the smoke around her caravan. They moved and replaced it with a vintage tractor. Hope she enjoyed the exhaust fumes. Classic

  8. So I decided to take a break from photography as the pandemic took hold but then GAS took over and I got hold of a Nikon S3. As it looks like we might be heading for another lockdown I am staying very close to home so this is all I've got. Nikon S3, Nikkor 50mm f/1.4, Ilford FP4+,V700 scan.
  9. The fairly even height is deceptive, the D3 is much bulkier.
  10. I think I'm starting to lose it during the UK lockdown. Now in my 60's I have just purchased my first DSLR camera. A Nikon D3s with an insanely low shutter count of 10600. Camera came with the box, manual, charger + 2 batteries and, a loud Nikon strap which I will never use. Camera also has a 6month warranty. The camera functions as it should and I could get spoilt jumping the iso around as required. This all came about just after Sover Wong returned the my F2 which, now behaves like it was brand new. How much use any camera I own will get is debatable after this years events. Picture below is the new kid on the block with my still much loved F5 Taken with a horrible Sony pocket camera.

  21. I have an old Billingham 550, 25 years plus? The velcro is at a slightly different height but the newer inserts can just about grab onto it and hold. This bag has some miles on it and it seems to be OK. To achieve perfect alignment you would have to sew in new velcro either on the insert or the bag I've never heard of a aftermarket supplier offering inserts to fit the older bags. By the way, Billingham are/were having a black friday sale on their website now might be the time to stock up.
