rodeo_joe1
I think your audience might tire of it quite quickly. Or be rubb-er-ing their eyes in disbelief.
Norma Desmond
Depends what the photos look like. You don’t make it sound very interesting, but photos of anything have the potential to be compelling. Without more info, context, and examples, it’s pointless to ask if it will be a success. How could anyone possibly know from what little you’ve said? 2 We didn't need dialogue. We had faces!

Sandy Vongries
At least you'll usually have a spare. A wheely unusual idea.

John Seaman
It doesn't sound particularly gripping, to be honest.
Andrew Garrard
What's a Tire? A dress code. Pictures just of tyres seems challenging except for a very specialist audience, unless you find some particularly unusual or interesting ones (if you cover everything from Lego to the things they put on the trucks used in mining you might manage to keep some variety going, but variants on the average saloon tyre will get dull fast). Having a theme of taking photos of interesting locations with a tyre in the shot (whether or not the "interesting location" is in focus, so long as it still looks nice blurry...) might be an interesting theme. I don't think I'd dismiss it out of hand. Not to over-inflate your ego, obviously. :-)
JDMvW
I personally feel wheels and "hubs" are more interesting than the tires, per se.

Sanford
Used tires have uses and value so they don't get discarded into big piles anymore, at least not around here.

Jochen_S
Upon the blog's success: Who knows? And how do you define "success"? I'm not American so I don't subscribe to "2nd place = first loser". If 120 people visit view and share your emotions about your blogging subject of choice over the years to come, I'd call that "success". I honestly have no clue what your blog might look like in the end. So far I took only one car tire picture all my life, when I was fascinated by a damaged but for reasons beyond my comprehension not yet flat tire. I think such are hard to spot, at least around here. Tire-porn like Sanford posted is another subject. IDK, I really don't care much about tires, beyond checking their road worthyness and shopping for cheap replacements. Get started. Just do it!
