Philip; once again thank you for the comment and history. I'm a vintage rock fan myself and I've lived SoCal off and on my whole life and never heard this story.
The bamboo scaffolding used in building modern high rises in HK into the 90's at least. always amazed. Here it created great lines for a strong composition.

100% one shot, straight out of the camera. Pelicans always fly along in single file like this. We saw them coming from the left side of the rock and waited for them to cross into the opening between the two. Right place at the right time luck happens. And thank you for your kind comment!
