The bamboo scaffolding used in building modern high rises in HK into the 90's at least. always amazed. Here it created great lines for a strong composition. -

Philip, 100% one shot, straight out of the camera. Pelicans always fly along in single file like this. We saw them coming from the left side of the rock and waited for them to cross into the opening between the two. Right place at the right time luck happens. And thank you for your kind comment!

Title borrowed from Joseph Conrad's novel, but actually this is from the live outdoor spectacular produced literally on China's Li River by the great film director Zhang Yimou also acclaimed as the producer of the awesome opening and closing ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics.
