  2. Stephen, thank you for your kind comments. Basically, this image was shot as a color image, then I desaturated it and added a background layer of texture to give it a more old-time look and feel. Enjoy your day!

    Green Jay

The Green Jay resides only in southern Texas and Central America. It is common in native woods and mesquite brush. Around some parks and refuges it is very tame, coming to picnic tables for scraps; but at other places it can be elusive, and surprisingly h
  7. Recently I purchased a Panasonic G9 which I really like so far...my question is there is a function called Zebra which shows diagonal lines in the viewfinder where highlights are overblown. I find them a little distracting. Was just wondering if others like Zebra or do you shut it off? GR
  8. An historic stone tower located on the hilltop at Comanche Park in San Antonio, Texas. This tower was used as a lookout against Indian attacks for the local community. Today, this tower is preserved in a park with hiking trails.

Very beautifully created! A job well done!
  18. Cameras and lens are nothing but tools to get the perceived job done. So, pick your tool and use it for a purpose you want to get out of it. I remember once a lady coming up to me at a craft fair and wanting to know what camera I used to shoot my prints. I told her it really does not matter about the brand but it is more about the person behind the camera doing the shooting. She would have nothing of it insisting she wanted the exact same camera and lens I had used. LOL
  19. Franz...Yes, there might just be an E.T. hiding in that building.
  20. Joe, it is also a song my the Moody Blues...have not seen the movie but sounds interesting!
  21. Years ago I began my photography hobby with one camera and one lens. It was an Yahsica Eclectro X body with a 50mm lens. I learned much by using just one lens, thus the 50mm lens has always had a special connection for me. Today's digital cameras this lens is now the 25/1.7 lens or a 35/2 lens. I appreciate the fact these prime lens force you to walk around and see things from all different angles. GR
  22. I used my Olympus camera to shoot this old structure and then added some background texture to replace a boring gray sky. This is my finished work.
