  1. Hi, Gerald,

I had already reported a SPAM posting by this 'member', who has since left, possibly banned, which is why I put this comment (ILLEGALLY !) in the No Words forum. Apologies for bringing down the wrath of the gods on your head.

OK Tony no problem, It's the problem communicating nonverbally.

  2. No words, please - or SPAM
  3. Tongue in cheek post - please remove if necessary. So - we're OK with Drugs and Rock-n-Roll, then ?😁
  4. Thanks - in my case, a very short step ! Luckily, a friend had some recovery software, and for the price of a couple of pints (never knew whiskey was so expensive !) he recovered a great deal of it onto a spare drive, and what he didn't recover was unimportant, so I am now a happy Wombat (my daughter's name for me !). So, you have not escaped my bizarre images for long, I'm pleased (or sorry) to say.
  5. Sixties music will never die
  6. All seems to have been dealt with now - well done the Mods
  7. Only time I've ever asked - 100% success rate ! I was told not to talk to strangers - she, apparently, was not.
  8. Cromer Sixties Day - Mellow Yellow
  9. Data drive now resurrected !
  10. I suspect these 'members' are pretty much 'fly-by-night' - they 'join' using bizarre names in many cases, spatter spam around, then are never seen again.
  11. Did not know that - thanks for the additional info
  12. Might I enquire, have our suggestions helped ?
  13. For those unfamiliar with this, here is a brief overview of the reporting procedure : Reporting SPAM If you see a thread with a title such as '[tere bs ka nahi hai copy pest insan] McAfee Contact Number UK' it is almost invariably SPAM. I deal with it thuswise : 1) Open the offending item 2) Click on the three dots - this will give a choice of options. Select 'Report' 3) When the Report post' menu opens, from the five choices select 'Spam', then 'Submit Report'. Enter a message if you wish, remembering this goes to the Mods, not the Spam originator. 'Thank you for your report' will be displayed briefly at the top of the screen. Job jobbed - continue to the next offending item
  14. Not seen any, and am quite content not to do so. The spam which I am reporting tends to be in the General Photography Discussion area, and is easily distinguished by its total lack of relevance to the forum in which it is posted, and the bizarre conglomeration of characters masquerading as the poster's identity.
  15. Whereabouts are you posting the images - discussion forums or your own album ?
  16. I purchased a new 2 TB drive for backups. I decided to format it prior to using it. I selected the wrong disk. I formatted my data drive. I am now running recovery software. I am an idiot.
