  1. I must say that reporting SPAM reminds me very much of the game Splat-a-Rat, as played at Garden Parties throughout Britain during the warm summer months. No prizes, but works off aggression beautifully !
  2. Reporting it is a way of passing the time while waiting for eBay bids to either win or disappoint me ! šŸ˜ My main gripe is the atrocious English being employed.
  3. I'm chopping them as I find them - does reporting them actually assist the Mods at all, does anyone know, please ?
  4. The OP seems to have solved the problem. Hope he/she stops shouting.
  5. Most of it seems to turn up in the Discussion forums, usually posted by a name I don't recognize, which acts as an indicator of unusual activity. Rick says it's also in the member galleries, which I do not visit.
  6. The Mods seem to be doing a great job fighting back. šŸ˜
  7. I mark the ones I find, too. Combating spam is a 40-hour job !!
  8. Welcome to the Forum. Currently we are receiving a lot of spam, so please be very careful regarding the links you follow.
  9. Yet more today, all apparently emanating from McAfee
  10. Grateful thanks to all dealing with this situation.
  11. Spam postings are even getting into Members Albums now - surely there is some way of preventing this ? Is there not a period of time between joining and posting, to ensure this does not happen ? If not, why not ?
  12. Is no-one monitoring the posts made by new members these days ?
  13. Over the past few days, Spam has increased. I am reporting it whenever I see it - may I ask others to do the same ? It appears to be emanating from members who have recently joined, which may be a clue. Tony
  14. Memo to self - check, then double check, which disk you have selected before hitting 'Format' !
  15. Thank you very much ! Data recovery software now running - very slowly !
  16. Apologies - major data issues, so no access to images. Please can some kind soul start this weeks' thread (or not, as the case may be !). Thanks. Tony.

  19. Can't view this image - says I need permission ! T
  20. Sadly, these days it seems that 'rudimentary photographic knowledge' is possessed by fewer and fewer people - I have spoke to students at our local art college who bemoan the fact they are being taught using manual cameras, asking 'What's the point ?' In so many walks of life, thought is actively discouraged.
  21. I think you missed my point - I was indicating that, as the equipment was made by professionals, whereas I was the result of random chance, any faults are more likely to lie with me rather than the kit I am using. Sorry for any misunderstanding.
  22. I occasionally read posts where someone either has problems using their equipment, or is dissatisfied with the results obtained. For me, the issue is easily explained : The equipment was built by experts - I was not. Therefore, the problem is more like to reside with me than the equipment. Thoughts, anyone ?
