  1. A spider through a rainy window. Eh, well. That's what I got this week. A crappy week it was, lets get it done with.
  2. Not all of the shots were blurry though. I should probably make that point as well. 5d Mark IV 100mm Tokina
  3. I really like a bit of context to the photos. I'm always curios to what is behind each photo every week. Nice job @Mark Keefer We're looking at becoming expats. So I think this weeks photo is rather suiting for our mood at the moment.
  4. Summer is just about over here on the westcoast of Sweden. Last week however, we managed to get the last little bit of warm weather squeezed out of it. 5D Mark IV, 24-70mm
  5. Not more than a permanent clog. :D I'm a chemical engineer and I was more worried about the solvents since not all plastics are resistant to them. Nevertheless, it was either that or tossing the printer. And as I said, compared to not printing vivid magenta at all, it is now printing a perfect nozzle head check. But I'm sure there's something devious that will back fire. Just I wait...
  6. I just wanted to pay this forward to someone who might be thinking of tossing their Epson printer. My SC P600 was completely clogged in the vivid magenta line. There was no commercial solution that would do a dent in the clog. I had also tried different mixes of IPA and Windex. But to no avail. I researched and I found that vivid magenta can make some serious clogs and I was not the first person sitting with this issue. Since it was my very last straw I tried oven cleaning solution. About 12 hours later I had a working printer again. Yay! To dismantling the printer to get to the printer head and flush it with oven cleaning solution should probably not be your first solution. But for me it was either this or tossing the printer. The label on the oven cleaning solution says: Water 30% Butyl diglucole 15-30% Triethanolamine 5-15% Isopropanol (IPA) 5% Sodium hydroxide 5%
  7. Some scenes in the film "The house that Jack built", by Lars von Trier was shot on an old paper mill plant in Dalsland. This is one of the views that can be seen in the movie. It is not Washington state, it is Sweden. I was working on the plant the day when one of the scenes were produced. I'm amazed by the amount of people engaged on set. It was like a small town moved in. The sign on the right which says "Pros..." was severed in a gunfight. I haven't been able to bring myself to watch the film, but I have seen the trailer. 5D Mark IV 24-70mm
  8. I had a great week, thank you Laura! Sometimes the sky is more important than the landscape.
  9. Just wanted to say congratulations. I really enjoy my 5D Mark IV, and I don't think I should admit exactly how happy I was when I finally got one. I think they are both very well abled bodies. I do like DSLR's and I'm just not ready to shift into mirrorless any time soon. That's not advice, that's just my opinion. Nevertheless, I think I would be happy with either one to be honest. If you really like your lenses, go with the 5DIV. They have packed some nice functions into the R and the extra ring on the R-lenses seems kind of handy.
  10. I had a photo-outing with one of my friends and we drove by this sunflower field. There was lots of opportunities but time was short as we had a time limit. 5D Mark IV, 25-70
  11. I don't know what this is, my husband claims that it is a Hercules. Just missed it as it passed very close to our house. At Chrismas the swedish JAS Saab 39 Gripen flew in a formation of a Christmas Tree. They flew very close to our house and I was at home with our youngest. We both fell to the floor from the sound alone... This was a much more agreeable pass-over. 5D Mark IV Sigma 150-600 mm
  12. No beach but the island across from me. 5D Mark IV, Sigma 150-600mm
  13. So, two Barcelona images. Cannot decide which one so I'll put two in this week. First one, let's call it a meeting across generations. 70D 24mm pancake Second one is a gargoyle on a fence. But it is not on the fence to count Dracula, it is on the fence to an old church. 70D 24mm pancake
  14. An old tree in a park in Valencia. It's a pano and I haven't corrected the perspective. But I've caught up. 70D, 24mm pancake
  15. Just before leaving two weeks ago we had a visitor just outside our plot. 5D Mark IV, Sigma this-that
  16. I'm going to Spain (Valencia and Barcelona) with my family on Thursday. We'll be there a for a fortnight. I can't decide weather or not to take an EOS camera with me. I don't want to take the 5D Mark IV, because it's too much weight and too much value for family snapshots. I don't know if I'll get any photography opportunities during our stay. And I don't fancy leaving my camera in a car in the Spanish sun. I'll be taking two GoPro's. These are enough when it comes to snapshots and video and they'll fit in a handbag. Limitations do apply though. But if I don't bring a camera I won't be able to take part in these Canon Thursdays that I so enjoy. Nevertheless. This week I was at my first soccer game (yes, absolutely true). I didn't plan for that so I didn't have an appropriate lens. All the images are rubbish, but that's what I have this week.
  17. Muy bonito, Laura! Tomorrow is midsummer in Sweden. Flower wreaths are a big part of the celebration. We started a bit early not to miss the daisies blooming.

Midsummer is coming up but the flowers are a bit early. So to ensure that the midsummer wreth can be immortalized it was made a few days early. Elinchrom 600 Ws strobe with Pixapro 120cm octabox. 5D Mark IV, 24-70mm 2.8

  19. A missionary baptist church somewhere in Sweden.
  20. @MarcelRomviel very nice with the yellow flower in the background. Kids are my favorite subjects. 5D Mark IV, 24-70mm
  21. So many images this week. Nice! I just made it in the nick of time. These flowers like salt and don't mind to grow in a small crack with almost no dirt.
  22. Lovely images. Lilies of the valley are my favorite flowers. I did something stupid. I left my Epson printer sitting for about four months. It did not like that at all. So now I'm working on trying to get it going again. The other night I ordered some magic bullet from marrutt, it's my last straw. I even dismantled the print head just to make sure I hadn't blown a gasket trying to fix it. No problem found. I have ink and papers for several hundreds of pounds and I'm not ready to give up just yet. Also, the other day I saw a chopper with the most interesting fishing method. Have a nice weekend!
  23. Hooray for the Gulf Stream! I was in New York in April a couple of years ago. Very, very cold. The stream (and the ocean) keeps our winters mild and our summers cool.
  24. It should be summer by all accounts. But we've had nights below zero - in May! Nevertheless, it did not stop "my" canadian goose to take is new ducklings out for a practice drive. Also, the Lillies of the Vally are soon in full bloom. Love the smell of these flowers.
  25. Almost not... :) There's a tiny reflection over the right eye that I almost managed to retouch away. It's a sliver of the octabox, can you see it?
