  1. Well, actually the rain does seem to fall mostly on the plain. Apart from this week, and the next. Which strangely coincides with our lock-down. Being from Sweden I didn't think this would bother me. And I must admit that when the other mothers started to share a PDF from the government on the topic of cabin fever I snickered. I mean, two weeks inside with your entire family is just a christmas holiday for me. I brought almost all of my stuff, except the wind machine because it just wouldn't fit. But I haven't found the time to set it all up yet. And the ceiling height downstairs is somewhat lacking.
  2. So, we're in lock-down. I don't mind it much. We're in the lucky position to be working from our home. If only it didn't rain. Coming from a farming family, I know I shouldn't complain. But still. Please take care. Here's a shot of the poor little lemon sitting on my pitiful excuse for a lemon tree. Feed it and water it. Hoping for the next set of flowers.
  3. A weed is just a flower in the wrong place. Or so I've heard. Running a bit behind, but I'll catch up.
  4. Same little bird from last week. He/she sees me from the tree and does not want to give me any better angle. 5D Mark IV Sigma 150-600 S
  5. Don't know if it benefited from a closer crop, what do you think?
  6. In the nick of time. Homemaker. 5D Mark IV, Sigma 150-600 S
  7. Glad to see you posting again. Fingers crossed for the new treatment.
  8. I'm amazed by the wildlife in our garden (and sometimes inside our house, which is not always as welcomed). Birds chirping all day long, lizards, squirrels, bugs you name it. My favorite is without a doubt the common gecko. Quite a nervous disposition and with the cutest little toes and it looks like it's smiling. I've been told that their super-grippy feet are inspiring scientist and engineers in pursuit of improved adhesive tape. This little guy is on a vertical surface on the outside of our house. I shall name him Glen. 5D Mark IV, Tokina 100 mm
  9. Finally settling in. Love it. Might still feel a little like the bird in the picture though. Love my 135mm 2.0, it is despite it's age sharp as a knife.
  10. Thanks. You are too nice. The professional photographer that shot our last house used HDR. But I haven't been able to get the look I wanted using that method. Could be the settings I use perhaps? Instead I just moved my 125 cm octa on the 600 Ws elincrome as far trough the door as I could. It worked ok and it didn't wash out the light from the window completely. But if anyone does real estate photography with HDR and would like to share settings and post-processing methods. I'd be all ears.
  11. Real estate photography really isn't my thing. Neither is staging. Nevertheless...
  12. Did I mention that I spend some of my nights away in an almost abandoned church?
  13. I have just about nothing this week. Visited some friends in Stockholm and took one blurry photo. Carried my camera with me all of the time but did not have the time to shoot more than the odd snapshot. Hopefully next week is better. Sold our house today. Canon 70D 24mm pancake
  14. They'll avoid the camera soon enough I'm afraid. The two youngest are still interested in having their picture taken and I exploit it shamelessly. ;)
  15. Poe, what a wonderful surprise. I'm slightly behind this week. Going to Stockholm tomorrow. Don't know if I'll be bringing my camera.
  16. I've been shooting with Elinchrom and Canon cameras for around 20 years now. I don't have your specific model. However, I have never had the issue you're describing. I always shoot in manual. My strobes (and others that I have used) are old-style manual strobes. Are your strobes ETTL/TTL? That might be an issue though. Because the pre-flash of one strobe can set of the other strobes and then you'll not catch that strobe in your photo. Mine are pretty powerful, so 6.3 would not be an aperture I would be working in. So therefore I must also ask the very basic basic question: what is your shutterspeed?
  17. Spent a couple of days in Valencia. Fingers crossed there will be more to come. Canon 70D 24mm pancake
  18. It was a long time ago, back in 1983. It has very little to do with today's politics. But it could have gone in a very bad direction, which I think there's a consensus upon. I hope it was not seen as a political post, it was not my intention. Have a nice weekend, and please have a cinnamon roll and a coffee! :)
  19. The 4th of Octobre is cinnamon-roll-day in Sweden. It was also the day when the generation before me demonstrated against the socialistic governments proposal to take over all privately owned companies. Thankfully the protesters were successful and the plans were abolished. It was a close call. 5D Mark IV, 24-70mm
  20. Wow! Lots of travelling. Lovely images! I had a birthday and my husband gave me an "Ankarsrum". It's a very old design. It inspired Elin and me to take some food related photos.
  21. Yay! There's actually been quite a bit of photography this week. And our Harald enjoyed the wind-machine. He looks happy.
  22. My husband gave me a fog machine for Christmas. I haven't had the opportunity to bring it out. And frankly, I was a bit worried about getting the whole house fogged up. It was very easy to use, and surely, the upstairs got full of fog quite quickly and the smoke alarm went off. So now I know that works at least. My youngest, she's a bit of a monkey, wanted to dress up as a witch. It was a bit difficult to get everything working at the same time. My best image didn't contain that much smoke.
  23. Yours was so much better! My window was at a manufacturing plant and it was very dirty.
