I can't pinpoint why, but whatever the reason, I am drawn to this composition. A creative title might be helpful.

I'm glad you uploaded the "original" color version of this photo, Lou Ann. Like the duotone image, this one too is very nice. Personally, I prefer the duotone version.

The lighting is a little harsh, but the moment you captured is precious.

VERY beautiful landscape, Roberto. The lighting is wonderful. Was this taken in early morning or near sunset?

REALLY outstanding portrait! Exceptionally well done!

Very well composed and eye-catching landscape!

Very beautiful and captivating portrait, Yuri.

VERY beautiful seascape! Exceptionally well done!

Beautiful sunset shot, Gaetan! My only suggestion would be to use PhotoShop to black out the street/house lights at the bottom left of the scene.

Nice capture, Lou Ann. Are you going to post the color version too? How do you like Velvia?

Beautiful shot, Igor.

Beautiful capture, Roberto!

Donna, I wasn't going to mention the zoo, but since you did... Actually, a few months ago, I spent a good bit of time observing this eagle. It was pretty clear to me that its left wing was deformed (see above photo). I don't know whether this was the result of a birth defect or an injury. It certainly maintained a serious look (the eyes) the whole time I watched it--the same look you captured here so well.

Wonderful eagle profile, Donna! If you took this shot were I think you took it, then I've seen this guy too. (-;

Very eye-catching and beautiful landscape shot! Exceptional work!

Can't really add more to what's already been said. It's truly a SPECTACULAR shot!

Nice composition, Roberto.

Nice capture, Gaetan.

Nice composition, Colin. I tend to agree with Kim about the lighting and like the levels adjusted version that she posted.

IMHO, this one would work better (for me, anyway) if the rose was darker. There's just not enough contrast between it and the bell (?) of the horn. If you haven't already done so, you might want to experiment with the "Channel Mixer" control of PS. The Hue & Saturation control allows for monochrome adjustment too, and offers more control with respect to color adjustments (6 colors vs. 3 for Channel Mixer).
