And thank you, Dave, for the kind comment!

Thanks a bunch, to all of you. I did do considerable dodging and burning with highlights and shadows to achieve. In other words, I pretty much milked the photo. :^)

I am NOT a landscape photographer . . . but I keep trying. Besides that,
it's fun!

Love your photos! Tons of talent!!!!

Worth a second look. I really liked - and then I saw the lightened blurred frame which pretty much detracted from a very excellent image!

Excellent on many levels.

Ken,
Something you might want to try:
1- Create a mask for the sky
2- Use your pseudo HDR on the image only
3- Then use a seperate degree of pseudo on the sky
4- Flatten the layers
What this does is eliminate the halos that others have mentioned.
If you are a little shakey with masking, try Vertus Fluid Mask 3. With a little practice you can create a quick and easy mask - or a very complicated one.

Keep up the good work.

I have visited over 100 ghost towns. It's a strange but wonderful hobby!

Believe it or not, this shot was taken in ARIZONA! No photoshop! None.

Mark G hit it exactly - and took the time to explain it. A great idea, great tonality, but imperfect composition. In fact, distracting composition. On a scale of 1-10, how about a strong 8. Close, very close, but no cigar. Having said that, let me applaud the photographer for innovation, technical skills, and bravery!

These are now becoming extinct - even in this state of decay. This one
was found on the old Gold King Mine site. Pretty rare!
