beartooth1 0 Posted July 10, 2009 Another from my series of old buildings...These were taken in Montana and Wyoming. Your thoughts are appreciated as well as your time. If you rate low please explain. Link to comment
sacha_de_carlo 0 Posted July 10, 2009 You're addicted to HDR :)Here it works well and the sky gives a certain dynamics to your photo, well done! Link to comment
beartooth1 0 Posted July 10, 2009 Sacha -- I suppose you are right...although I think there are worse things to be addicted too.... I went on a 10 day trip to capture as many old barns, houses, etc... with the idea to present them all in HDR...I used 2 lenses for the most part the whole trip and took everything (barns and so forth) bracketed....This particular place was fantastic. There is like 8 old houses here.... Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted July 11, 2009 A beautiful and nostalgic image depicting someone's dreams and hopes gone south. HDR or no, I think the image would be successful. Having tromped around a bit in Montana, I've seen many an abandoned homestead or school, and this is a very nice example. Good work. Link to comment

timzeipekis 5 Posted July 12, 2009 Great HDR Ken and I love the "aged" look of it. What a great setting for this old house, well done! Link to comment
steve_bingham 0 Posted August 8, 2009 Ken, Something you might want to try: 1- Create a mask for the sky 2- Use your pseudo HDR on the image only 3- Then use a seperate degree of pseudo on the sky 4- Flatten the layers What this does is eliminate the halos that others have mentioned. If you are a little shakey with masking, try Vertus Fluid Mask 3. With a little practice you can create a quick and easy mask - or a very complicated one. http://dustylens.com/masking_tutorial.htm Keep up the good work. beartooth1 0 Posted August 8, 2009 Thanks for the tip...This is a 3 image HDR done with Photomatix Pro..then further processed in CS4...I'm pretty confident with masking so I'll try your tip after tomorrows shoot...You have some great stuff in your port... Link to comment
