Shades of Wyeth. The dark clothing of the lone figure completes this well arrayed tonal values. Excellent work.
Thanks you for the Wyeth comparison. Every time I look at this I can feel his art. (hope that's not weird to say)

well defined and framed still life
Thanks. The wood is from a 200 year old barn and I use the skillet every day.

The accomplished effect skillfully done.
Thanks! Panned my Nikon F4 for this shot of a SF streetcar.

Now here's a different twist on shooting a falling leaf...

So film noir, I half way expect Sam Spade to walk into the scene.

This image so has that "Twilight Zone" feel to it...the dark shadows and hooded pedestrian add up to spooky. Well done Tony.

Very eye catching landscape work...it seems to be a bit centered and at the same time it's what I like about it.

Well worth the trip back to this location. Loving the dark ominous sky that comes from the longer exposure. But, and it's only my opinion, but I find the old house to be bright and cheerful and not in line with the sky. A little creative dogging and burning should do the trick. Other than that, I think it's a wonderful landscape shot.

Very cool...showing motion in a still is a great way to go here.

Having both levity and heartbreak, that's wrapped up in one frame so well, it's difficult to truly define the emotion it evokes.

A brilliant fantasy wedding portrait...very creative!

This image certainly conjures up many summer time childhood memories playing in cornfields in Missouri. I like a picture that can sparks an emotion in my head...kudos.

I see by the previous remarks that this image can be interpreted a thousand different ways, and that sir is the mark of a good image.

Brilliant Tony...like stepping into a very odd and surreal world.

I could spend hours in and out of places like this...it's truly beautiful. And we could all debate for days if this image should be in color or B&W. Truth is, art is subjective and it all up to the one that hit the shutter.

This brings me straight into the image and runs chills down my spine. Fantastic work Jim.

So real it put a smile on my face. Everything about this image I like...kudos!

Very well composed and exposed. It hurts my head a little looking at this wonderful architectural image...I feel a little dizzy. Well done.

So surreal, almost dream like with it's darkness and never ending horizon. Simple in subject matter and yet the more I view this work the more complex my mind makes it.
A natural light portrait.
