House and Clouds

I stumbled on this house which is, of course, abandoned and made a

mental note. A week or two later the weather was perfect for the shot

I was thinking about so I grabbed my gear and headed out. I ended up

using a large umbrella to keep the rain that was starting to fall off

the camera but I think the effort was worth it. What do you think,

I'd love to hear it. This is a 90 second exposure at f/8, 3-stop GND,

and a polarizer at full strength.

Well worth the trip back to this location. Loving the dark ominous sky that comes from the longer exposure. But, and it's only my opinion, but I find the old house to be bright and cheerful and not in line with the sky. A little creative dogging and burning should do the trick. Other than that, I think it's a wonderful landscape shot.

The weather was indeed perfect for this! Trees remain calm while that sky is just a perfect complement to make a strikingly powerful image. Good one - 7 for me.

So lucky to have no trees motion here with 90s exposure time,effect did by clouds is awesome,I like a lot the composition and how bw shows this.
