great candid!

this is very nice. i like the exposure. some might quibble and say the top left is to light, but I like it the way it is - makes you think of a higher place - that fits with the story of the photo.
-
great eye to see this...
-
nice. very nice.
-
i like this - creative, a bit melancholy. not your standard portrait. emotive.
-
great catch!
-
ceaser and his chariot, eh?
-
made me smile.

to be teased by venus - the destiny of most men.
-
nice command of the exposure here.
-
nice, but i wish the flowers were outlined against the blue sky rather than the foliage - if only you moved slightly to your right before shooting...
-
great eyes, love the grain, light background. very nice.
-
martin, this is really just a snapshot to me. interesting from a documentary standpoint, but not very emotive.
-
creative!

nice choice of matte. i might go with a bit less width, but it's nice. oh yeah, photo is nice too. can't decide if i like the post in the lower left or not. hmmm...
-
stark. did you try this in b&w?
-
wow. i love this composition and mood. almost monochromatic color. i wonder what this would look like as a cool tone black and white?

love it.
-
cool. i think it could be better without the empty space on the top right. doesn't feel balanced.
-
nice picture and background, but I suspect your scan is terrible and that's limiting the impact of this image. colors aren't brilliant, tonality is not so great (going from some good texture on the neck to blown out on the crown). I'd suggest you get a better scan to better show your work.

this is nice, but i think i'd like it better if the lighting was a symmetrical as the composition. the lighing takes away from the symmetry of the objects and gives them different tones. i really like that you've even thought of the symmetry of 44 (i'm assuming by your 2 parenthetical that you've thought of all of the interesting things like 2x22 or 2x2x11 - 11 being a symetrical(looking) number). cool.
-
interesting abstract. i like that you have lines at all four corners to draw the eye in.

Is this better than the original version? I intentionally went a little
more yellow than brown on the duotone. First time experimenting, so
looking for some advice.
