lots of flower shots, few like this. great creativity with the triple exposure idea. very nice photo.

This is a crop - i was attracted to the pattern in the middle, plus
the framing elements of green and the position of the floating
leaves. What do you think?

I like it like it's printed and composed. Moody and antique. IMO, the emotional is more important than the technical and separates the engineers from the artists.
-
lovely, just lovely.
-
very nice.
-
cool!
-
very nice. i'd think about cropping this one square.
-
tres cool.
-
cool, but i think it's printed a bit flat. a little more contrast might make those footprints pop.
-
looks a bit off kilter. also, i tend to think symmetry is important for shots like this.
-
scan looks a bit soft. could use some sharpening. i'm guessing it's not your focus.
-
very nice. symmetrical with a very subtle lighting asymmetry. well done.
-
nice, but perhaps just a smidge overexposed?
-
nicely composed with the leading line. it's just not grabbing me, tho'. perhaps the light is a bit too harsh? i wonder what this would look like in B&W and with the channel mixed to make the sky very dark. i think a red filter effect would darken the sky, and bring out some detail in the building.

great beams. a bit off kilter, tho'.
-
great catch! looks like he's thinking about racing the duck!
-
nice, but I think i'd like this better symmetric and without the frame on the wall. you probably weren't in a position to perfect the composition, so nice capture anyway.
-
very powerful. I LOVE the way you've got all the gravestones oof except for Sherman's. A reminder to us all of all those that sacrificed their lives for us. Very few of us appreciate that, and I think your photo and caption helps us to remember.

hmmm. i think i would either want all of her face in the photo or none of it.
-
this is great! captures the boredom of a child without even showing her face!

if you hadn't of put "flood" in the title, i would've thought it was sand. not sure this really conveys the power of a flood. more of a man walking in the rain with his bike. it needs something more...

Gretel - as I recall, I believe this was at f16 or f22, overcast, velvia at 50, polarizer. I believe the shutter speed was somewhere around 1-2 seconds.
If we use sunny 16, that'd be 1/60th. 2-3 stops for the polarizer brings it to 1/8th or 1/4th. 2-3 stops for the overcast brings it to 1/2 sec or 2sec. F22 would add another stop, so what I recall would make sense (1-2 sec). I'd say minimum 1/2 sec, max 3 sec.
