    Gladolia's in Rain

Excellent presentation, as usual. I like the purple colour and drops of water. Not too keen on the shapes of the flowers, though.

    Moonset at Dead Valley

Both the crop and this original are very good, but I prefer this one, more spacious. A beautiful shot, as usual.

    Creek

Delicious landscape. I like the deepness of blacks, the delicacy of the trees and the composition with the river.

    Thanks for the link Michail.

    Leah

Just wonderful. I wonder why she is so serious :)
  6. Quite spectacular. Everything is in place, including the bird.

    cirrus clouds

Your crop is definitely wonderful, Christoph.

    undead nature

I too am remembered by Picasso.

    Faversham9

I like this one more than the other lower third approach. Find the sea more interesting and the sun works better on top. For me the centered approach works wonderfully and the whole landscape is an accomplishment.

    Yasawa Islands Lionfish

Very impressive shot. A pity it's somewhat blurry.

    Yasawa Islands Coral

This is half way between documentary and an artistic shot (kind of abstract). In either case I would have liked to see more of the coral, maybe as a whole, then it would be more obvious what it is. The fish on top is good to bring context and let the viewer know what (s)he is viewing, but I find it doesn't add much more to the image and is artistically questionable not favouring the composition.

    Rescue

I wonder what happened to be rescued. It's not evident from the image what is going on, but with your title the image works well.

    Bashkortostan

The expression of the right kid is excellent and kind of priceless but the one on the left kid is far from perfect. Anyway, with this little imperfection the image is well framed, has a suitable blurred background and the choice of B/W works very well. I wonder what the right kid is grabbing with his hand, though.

    The Selfie.

You have a good take that reminds me of "the kiss" by Doisneau. The couple look very tender and the selfie, so usual these days, does not look trite (just the opposite, quite unusual) and is interesting. I dislike the man on the left though and think you would have done better with a bright lens wide open if available.

    cirrus clouds

The clouds are quite beautiful, but the land doesn't match the beauty of the sky IMHO. It's a good image nonetheless.

To me the highlighting of her arse is not flattering nor pleasing and would have like to see her head, but like your approach to the photo and your portraying it in the sofa works very well.

    root

    Very beautiful.

    gate

Composition is not working for me. You have a symmetry in the lower half that is not matched by the bush. The lower half has its appeal though.

    Unfitting Fragments 09

Strange image. Very surreal. To be honest I don't quite understand it but it's aesthetically effective and puzzles the viewer. I particularly like your touch of leafs around and the dash of light, they complement well the surreal mouth photograph.

Your vertical take was better. It follows the cords and jump.

    Untitled

I agree with Doug somewhat. The reds in the upper part look too intense to be felt realistic, especially with the contrast with the lower part. I prefer the colour version though as in B/W it looks too uniform and the red has its charm. My impression upon seeing it first was Ansel Adams meets the mystery photographer. Well seen and captured.

    Untitled

I think your take of the bird is interesting in that it is unusual, but dislike the head being out of focus and tend to think it would have looked better with it standing and beak closed :)

    INUKSUK

I don't know what the foreground thing is, but like your composition with the clouds. Good to see the sky is dramatic :) BTW how do you get such dark tones for the sky? In traditional B/W photography one would use a red filter, but I understand you did this in photoshop.

Excellent image Michael. BTW, do you have other takes with whatever is sustaining him? This one is good as is but I miss knowing more context.

    ball

This looks surreal. Very nice abstract although you have to be careful in such shots to get all the lines perfectly straight.
