  1. Greg, Yes, and I'm told, not ever being there in July that you could expect a classic Winter Summer, there at that time.
  2. ABBOTTS LAGOON XT-2, 18-55 One of the best hikes at Point Reyes. About a mile in and a mile out, a very special place, secluded, flat, depending on the time of year lots of wildlife, shorebirds.
  3. Partial reset? Full reset? Ae we talking about a simple turning off and on of the camera? Or is there something else I'm not aware of?
  4. Karim, I agree with you as to how the out of focus renders with the XF18-55. Much has been said about this lens and it has many benefits and qualities, but to get to the heart of the matter pertaining to its faults, Bokeh would have to be one of them depending on focal length chosen and aperture. As for how to control color with Fuji camera's, we have that control you can do whatever you choose with it the beauty of the system. In the case of this shot, and I'm not making excuses, but I recall trying to overcome the haze of that day in the atmosphere, so I increased contrast intern pressing, "pop" intern perceived saturation. Sometimes I get lazy.

  6. I'm settling in with the notion that getting a clean post around here is just a roll of the dice. One week it accepts my post, the next it doesn't. Is this the norm now?

  9. It's not so much that we miss Kodachrome moments over Sandisk moments, what's changed in my view is that everybody is in to Photography and everybody is a genius at it.
  10. I haven't entered a DVF conversation in a very long time, like 3 years, and now minutes, but I'm pleased to see a DVF thread Civil! Generally there is a markable evolution in the perception of the medium chosen. It's Horses for courses and we're stuck with it. What a good problem to have!
  11. INFINITY Fuji XT-2, XF23mm F2 So now 1000 pixel images won't load?
  12. I can't weigh in regarding dull, cold rainy weather and getting impatient with conditions like that is totally understandable, but I'm wondering too because I've had the creative shut down feeling here in Southern California, my issue being boring clear skies every day, all day, all year! I pray for some atmospherics to make things interesting, but I think you see where this is going. I just don't know of anything more challenging than Photography and its built in creative methodology of thinking. Photography has taught me more about myself and life than practically anything. When I get into a creative slump, I've learned not to think if it that way, I just re label it a creative pause, recharging the batteries of thought and invention. Since going out somewhere looking for a picture isn't the right approach, as we know the best approach is being at a state of allowing the picture to come to us, I'm OK with creative pause. It works! Although it works a little different with different people, it's a formula that has some merit.
  13. I had a MLU version and had the same behavior. I didn't go forward with a repair because everything worked as you said, the film spacing was normal and the results were in tact. I felt that the feeling with the rewind lever was more like a slipping clutch, although in my case this issue occurred without film in the camera, but when film was in it, all fell into place. Having said all that, I had heard in Pentax 67 forums in 2011 here on P. NET, that Pentax 67 rewind lever mechanisms were subject to wear and needed CLA attention, which makes perfect sense as these cameras many of them were used in fashion or wedding work where the winders were exposed to heavy work. Today I have a Pentax 67II and even it will display a mushy felling in the lever without film in it. With film its solid.
  14. Mukul, Your subjects for portraiture seem to always look comfortable and relaxed! This is a key accomplishment by the Photographer, a necessary trait to get the job done. I admire that.
