Hi Ruud,
with being a road-biker myself I appreciate this image even more, than others may do! Nice capture, my friend!

Hi,
congrats to your image and to be chosen as PoD. This image carries a great mood of early morning and a lovely weather, about to come. Clorours and shades are worked out well.

John,
a famous German physicist said, that success is bearing the right skills at right moment, and you were very successful! A great image with fine colours and a dramatic touch.

Hi Su,
this is just the definition of BW- architecture photography. The regard to perspective and dimensions, caused by the persons on the left is the final factor, making this image superb!
Congratulations, my friend!

Hi Laurent,
great perspective and colors. The use of a CPL-filter fits the monotone blue-sky very well!

Hi Jed,
really great an image you present here! The colours and the caracteristics of the lights are really fine. The 17-40mm is one of my favourite lenses. I also like the composition of this scenery. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Ruud,
I always appreciate the clarity and stunning sharpness of your images. The results you get with the "cheaper" 85mm lens are convincing me, that the effort of 2000€ for the 1.2/85mm lens is not necessary. I've already used the 1.8/85mm FD lens and this one was also a true gem for a realistic price. But this lens will be on my to-do-list when having a full-frame camera, because with the APS-C sensor, I have no use for it!
Thanks for sharing, and best regards from Germany,
Sepp

Hi Anna,
that's quite an amount of snow you have there. In Germany it is all rain and fog. The strong contrast of the blue night-sky to the "warm and soft" snow works very well. Only the directory should have been captured completely.
Thanks for sharing!
Best regards,

Hi Justin,
really love the capturing idea and your accomplishment. I did a similar one a year ago. I always wonder how fine the 18-55 works, a real gem, concerning price-value-realtion!
