Hi Allan,
welcome to amazing world of photography!
I must agree with Timothy, that you chose an interesting subject, with a nice perspective. But I don't exactly get the focal point. Is it the role in the foreground or the background, because there's no significant focus visible. This is something you always should choose, because it changes the effect and mood of a photography massy. If it is not sharpness but noise dew to a high Iso, you should consider the use of a tripod, with longer exposure and/or higher F/stop.
But nevertheless I like your image, and I'm not a pro either. I also have learned a lot by try and error, and I use the dialogue of this forum to get better and better.
Best rergards,
Sepp

I really love it. You should get it printed very big, I guess it would be great.

Hi Matt,
I really like the capturing idea, maybe I'll try something similar on the next wedding I'm going to capture, hope you don't mind;-)
Especially the color-change on the background is awesome!

Hi Tue,
just came across this image when entering the website, and it immediately caught my eye. Lovely composition, great colours!

Hi Alexandra,
this is really artwork, beyond the borders of photography!
How many images did you combine to get this?

Chris,
this image is really fine, only some slight changes you might think of.
Unfortunately the upper edge of the left waterfall is cut, so a deeper position of the camera would help. The branches at the upper right corner could also be removed, maybe by moving a bit more left, because with the high F/stop, you have such a DoF that room and distance is getting lost, a bit.
I really like the colors and the aperture time is also enough for this strong blurring of the moving water.
Nice scenery, very well captured!
Best regards,
Sepp

Hi Dana,
I can understand you, I also affect lost places and urban decay! You have very well captured, the weak contrast of the sky is very fitting, because it doesn't catch the eye from beholding the building!

Hi Dana,
very psychedelic mood you achieved with this work. Like it!

Kelly,
this portrait is simply great. Both by it's sharpness, and by the fitiing colours of the lovely blurred background you reached a perfect synthesis!

It's a bit 80's and a bit Van Gogh. Like it!
Thanks for sharing!

Soft and crisp at the same time, well done!

Hi Minh,
you really made a very gorgious photograph, with the strong symmetry between the horizon and the sea. Also like the detailed shadows on the stones.

Hi Witold,
a very strong image indeed. Great colours and lights! What lens did you use exactly? Can you connect M42 to EF without a lens in the adapter?

Georgios, the subject and the perspective is very nice, but the green of the leaves is very washed out and too yellow, related to the overwhelming glossy red of the peppers. Maybe an underexposure or a different white-balance would be it!
Just my opinion.

Nice perspective, the surface looks like velvet. Very well done!

Hi Michael,
I like your image, too. Especially with the shadow from the upper edge. Urban decay can be very attractive!

Hi Edmondo,
in German we say "pitoresk", I don't know wether there's a similar phrase in English or Italian?! The colours and the composition make me think of a painting, not a photograph.
Is that real, or did you help the mood a bit? Nevertheless, even the square form is just fitting, and the soft fading hills in the background are just too good to be true!
If Tuscany is really like this, I'll pack my things and move there...

Sepp

Hi Larry,
I just can join the commendations, a really great scenery, very well captured!
The contrast between the yellow-toned foreground and the blue background, gives an idea of the 3 dimensions!

Hi Adrienne,
your image makes me hoping, maybe one day spring will come, even this year. I like the colours and the hard contrast.

Hi Björn,
tolle Aufnahme und ein beeindruckender Scan. Ein weiters Motiv, dass mich darin bestärkt, dass es noch keine adäquate Digitaladaption der SW-Photographie in ihrer ganzen Bandbreite gibt.

Hi Landrum,
I really like the light as well as the square crop of the image. The only thing to be improved, would be the bw-process. Around the mouth the gradation between the lips is too hard and looks simply "digital". Maybe it's because of the upload-compression, but it doesn't fit the supreme equipment you use! But that's only my two cents;-)

Hi Bob,
wonderfully arranged image, the background-color fits the owl!
How long did you hide and wait for this shot?
Happy new year,
Sepp

Hi Krzysztof,
I really like your image, and it's amazing how you managed to get sharp flowers on a cliff at a long-exposure.
The tryptical composition of dark cloudy skies, dreamlike shores and the obese flowers is really great.
Please answer me 3 questions:
1) What was the exposure time?
2) Did you build anything to cover the flowers from the wind?
3) Is this a multishot?
Thanks for sharing!
Best regards,
Sepp
