  1. Could be. I've been around long enough to know that many differences have been in place between subscription, registered user, and everyday lurker. I'd like to hear what the admins have to say and not presume anything.
  2. I tried again this morning with both Chrome and Firefox. In both browsers I can sign in. Without signing in I can get to the site. At the bottom of each thread there is a box that tells me to sign in to reply. When I sign in, there is no way to post, no reply box, no nothin'. I can see all the content, but cant do anything. This is in both Firefox and Chrome. I looked at the "guide" for direction, but there isn't any. It's fine for admins, but doesn't tell me how to post. https://m320846.invisionservice.com/forum/57-community-feedback/ doesn't work. All I get is "we can't find that" Clearly, a couple of people have been able to post in the 2 threads available, but they are the exception. Please, let us know when all the issues mentioned by everyone are resolved.
  3. I was able to sign in, but couldn't figure out how to post a comment to the existing threads or post an image. Others clained to have posted an image, but none were visible to me. I'm using Firefox. Is there a way to make a gallery? If so, I didn't see it in my profile. Badges....really? It doesn't need to look pretty, it needs to work, period. Credit given for effort.
  4. A mountainous realm in the world of bas-relief.
  5. More adventures in the Lucite Bamboo Forest.
  6. I chose a winter scene from the morning after a late October snow storm. Power was out for a week, the roads were clogged with downed trees and utility poles, but that light was amazing.
  7. Women's March, 2017 Washington D.C.
  8. Thank you for posting a version closer to the original. What a difference. "Canon EOS 400D; Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS. Not bad for 10MP, and adds a bit of pixel "grain"" My workhorse camera is an older Rebel, a 450D. I've never seen the grain that you speak of. Consider returning to the drawing board. I'm sure you can come up with a way to add the edge you're looking for without sacrificing the vitality and integrity of the subject. Personally, I'd leave the tatoo. It's part of her edge and identity. While the hygiene of the 1600's may have not been the best in some places, artists' depiction of women expressed beauty, even of women at work. It could be that a return to the Ren fair is in order so you can study the subject more and take a different photo to work with, even if it's a different woman, or man, behind the bar.
  9. I think you found one, but she looks very annoyed, as if she didn't appreciate her photo being taken. Her face looks like she's been in a fist fight. Her overall demeanor looks dirty, smudgy and flat. It's all quite unflattering. The oof elements don't help. To me, it looks like you found someone who shines, then you drug her through the mud. I'm not sure what you were trying to do here, but this bar maid deserves better.
  10. For all the landscape/seascape minimalists out there.
  11. Landscapes of fire and healing over a lifetime of growth are alive and well on redwood trees.
  12. Small landscapes appear when shafts of light reach the ground in the redwood forests.
  13. It's nice to hang out with friends at the end of the day.
  14. The mural is b&w, so perfect for the thread.
  15. I should have written "Skywalker's". oops. From Star Wars.
  16. The quietude of morning at the Skywalkers place abruptly ended by what felt like little stings, hundreds of them. I awoke on a forested beach being blasted by sand in 40 mph wind gusts. It was a good time to move on.
  17. I looked up and realized I was on Tatooine with the Skywalker compound on the horizon. It's easy to imagine that conversation.
  18. I've never posted from an airport, but here I am. From a windy day at the beach.
  19. One beach got fogged in so we went to Chetco Point. The sun dipped below incoming fog and we thought it was time to go. On the way out a small hole opened, then got larger and eventually we had a very nice sunset.
