Thank you all for taking the time to comment, and for your encouraging words. These are shy birds, but I spent the winter in a cabin in woods on the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountain. We had a lot of snow and the birds were grateful for the seed I put out for them and I was able to get this shot from an armchair through the open patio door! Gillie
