Thank you all for taking the time to comment, and for your encouraging words.  These are shy birds, but I spent the winter in a cabin in woods on the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountain.  We had a lot of snow and the birds were grateful for the seed I put out for them and I was able to get this shot from an armchair through the open patio door!  Gillie

Excellent; took me right back to my childhood which was long ago, but it looks the same. You have captured the fairytale quality of the place.

This aqueduct carried the Chesapeake and Ohio canal across the

Monacacy river, just where it flows into the Potomac.

Good point of view; I really like your processing.

Nice composition, but I would like to see the blues wound back a little.
