Exceptional. I love the treatment. The river really looks as if it would sweep you away and this adds to the feeling of wildness in the valley.
-
Wonderful shot. The star trails are quite short. What exposure, iso, shutter speed combinations did you use? I would like to try something similar.
-
The saturation is just fine. The folks on this site like it that way. The only tiny cooment I can make is to suggest that the path leading out of the picture on the top left could have been cropped out or the position of the camera altered just a pace or two to eliminate it. A nice winters day.

I tried to choose a bright background against which to expose a black
iris. Is this the best option.
-
Excellent. I think the broken reed in the centre makes the image work really well.
-
Very nice. Could you crop it to concentrate on the top half of the image and focus on the wonderful expressions.

An excellent image. I love the clear clean feel in the air after the rain.

A lovely ballet.

Basking in the last of the evening sun. This image looks very impressive in the larger version.

Excellent. I like the way the evening light is catching the vapour trail. My camera is usually in the house when I spot a similar opprtunity.

Shot in landscape but then heavily cropped. Cloudy Sky.

OK, ignore the fact that in the low light conditions of the NRM I
didn't quite get the DOF right. Other than that, does the image work?

Hi Rafi
I take your point. I guess it is just a stock image but it is a very special locomotive and this makes it just a bit special to me. I've posted another view which I hope you find more interesting.
Thanks for your time.
Regards Bill

A follow up to my previous post of this special locomotive. Is this
one artistic?
-
Evening Star was built in 1960 and served for less than ten years.
This class of locomotives was designed for heavy freight work hence
the ten relatively small driving wheels which gave the engine more
grip on the rails. It was the last steam loco to be built for British
Rail and the only one of its class to receive a name.

This was originally a medieval street devoted to butchers. Now it
seems to specialise in chocolate.
-
This image reminds me of the kind of picture that jigsaw manufacturers
like to use.
-
I was struck by how the light caught the underside of the roof.
-
Your opinions would be very welcome.

I remember it well. Your picture brought back many happy memories of my time in Kerala. Lovely place, lovely shot.
