Not easy to pose.

I hope this conveys the atmosphere of a blustery September morning on
the west coast of Scotland.

Any comments would be welcomed.

I agree with Gail. The only thing I might have done would be to get rid of Fred. Regards

Really nicely done under difficult lighting conditions.

Simply excellent.

Last image from this location.

A follow up to yesterday's posting. The only entrance can be more
clearly seen at the bottom of the picture.

A thirteenth century cathedral-monastery complex in the west of
Ireland. The remarkable tower was build as a refuge for the monks in
times of trouble. The only doorway can be seen about fifteen metres up
the tower. It felt very much as if I wandered into a set for The Lord
of the Rings.

Hi Michael
Ok so there is a bit of blur, not a major concern considering the interesting composition. I can see that it wasn't that bright a day and you're using a teleconverter on top of an F4 lens. This reduces your options to increasing the iso or leaving off the TC and cropping a smaller image. I'm amazed how good a modern DSLR is and I always hold in mind that a 3MP image was considered fantastic ten years ago.
Best Regards

I'm guessing that that is Malta. Interesting composition.

Wonderful. The reds and golds are stunning and the DOF and feeling of space created, works splendidly.
-
Well processed. A nice image.

The over saturation really works. The colours are splendid and the edge effects add a clarity which holds the image together. well done.
-
Very striking. Have you tried desaturating the blues slightly.
-
Excellent idea. Could we see one with a little more depth of field.

What a fabulous picture. The feeling of menace is perfectly captured. I'm not sure why the right hand side is darker.

Just a quick note to say that the donkeys are very well looked after
and only demonstrate this ancient wheel, used to raise water from a
well inside the castle grounds, for a few minutes each day.
The picture was taken under quite difficult conditions crammed up
against wall in a small enclosed space with twenty or so other
tourists. With only available light, the action pictures were blurred.
